Very interesting blog post on ecigarette reviewed by Lee Johnson.
I think he raises some very valid issues and concerns with what we say/repeat in defense of vaping not only to the anti or on the fence about it public, but to ourselves.

6 Misleading Pro-Vaping Arguments We Should Stop Using

I know most of these parroted pro-vaping arguments have been raised and discussed on this forum, I have done so myself on more than one occasion along with a few more myths vapers repeat he did not mention in this post.

Decent article. I try to avoid the discussion anymore though. Most people are either dead set against it or vape. I've given up on trying to win people over...even on Twitter where I am most of the day.

I use to Tweet out and follow many vapers on Twitter, but I posted once or twice about US Politics, and they bashed me, unfollowed, and one even went so far as to block. This revealed to me, that everyone has their limit to what they want to talk about or consume in so far as information goes, and I limit myself to ECF for vaping topics. I do not wish to live my life as an evangelist to anyone for anything...b/c most likely, the people I would represent wouldn't have anything to do with me offline or in real life.

My recommendation is to advocate to Federal, State, County, Mayor and stock up like mad in case the FDA or other sets out to ban your lifestyle.

Agreed, but sadly he also offers some mis-information of his own.

If you can remember a day recently when you only consumed 1 ml of e-liquid, it’s safe to say you were either also smoking or you forgot your e-cig when you went to work. Virtually no full time vapers, in this age of 150 W mods and sub-ohm tanks, is consuming just 1 ml per day.

Huge numbers of vapers still use basic Ego/Clearo setups - I had no issue quitting instantly with even less quality equipment after a 45 year battle.

I Personally still recommend a good VV Ego and bottom coil clearo for New Vapers. It is a close as smoking to work on transitioning.

150W, Sub-ohm and Big clouds are not necessary and need not become the expected norm. They are an experience for the more Devoted Vaper/Hobbiest.(IMHO)

**Also of note - Vaping has been around since at least 2005 - Asian first, then expanding and USA a bit behind everyone else.;)

Agreed.
Which brings up an interesting thought, I am still of the understanding that the majority of all vapers combined still mainly use the lower power higher ohm set ups, but, is this still true today?
I wonder only because there has been a big shift over the past year or so where we saw a return to mech mods, double/triple battery regulated mods, super low ohm and super high watts unlike all of the previous years in vaping. Plus, the vast majority of new gear is sub ohm/high watts these days, a walk into most any vape shop shows this trend. Heck just look at ProVape who just came out with and released a 50w tube mod for sale, never thought I would see that!

Monkey see, monkey do syndrome. We Vapers need to take more responsibility.
Pushing High wattage mods or Mechanical Mods on new Vapers is not only unnecessary, but could be hazardous and create liability issues.
Sure, there are a percentage of us always wanting More and excited at the next WizBang release, but we need to be aware of the Primary Goal of all Vapers - Tobacco avoidance.

Those just deciding to kick a 40+ year habit hardly need Lung slamming 200w RDA's. I know I would have and still do almost cough up a Lung with something that powerful.

The market truly is Broad and Focus should maintained. Quality products for all levels of users.

***Perhaps we See more in the advanced manufacturing because it is Advancement. The EGO/Twist/Etc., and 14mm Tanks are about as good as they may get. They have been perfected(or close) and have been in production.

We tend to notice what is new and what is coming, ignoring what is already available.

Fortunately in my town, several shops are Broad minded and can fill almost any need.:thumb:

I still laugh about RX200 users(Newbees) attempting to run TC at 200w
Yea, sell some more new Vapers complicated gear:facepalm:

I think we need to stop saying "Vaping is a great way to keep you regular." Over the holidays, I vaped a lot and had a lot of cheese (It was the holidays so there was a lot of parties and since people like me (ok, they like my wife and tolerate me because they want to see her), I went to a lot of parties and there were cheese logs, cheese slices, cheese dips and of course, the creme de creme - aerosol cheese - yeah, cheese sprayed out of a can. Suck it France!). No matter how much I vaped, I was backed up like an LA freeway during rush hour from Thanksgiving until nearly the Super Bowl when the parties started up again!
