Battery boxes for me have varied over time. Time for this newb has been a few months. But I have settled on one juice delivery system. The Zenith tank with a 1.6 ohm coil at 13.5 watts. Oh, and tapered tips. Resin being preferred.
Now as time has unfolded and I really gave thought not to which devices I use most, but which are my favorite to use all things considered, the Kroma-A kit is still the most natural feeling battery box to this user. And I really like 3x on/off instead of 5. I can do 3 in a rhythm easily where many times click 4 or 5 is out of time and my devices seem to say "is he trying to do a change in setup or turn it on/off" and I end up repeating the 5 clicks. Sometimes 3 or 4 times before my devices turns on or off. Now that cool weather has arrived I'll likely jacket carry one topped with a standard size Zenith.
I really like the JAC Vapour Sandstorm for everyday carry in the car, outside the office or on a walk around the park. The fire button being so darn sensitive though is a cause to not want to pocket carry that one. Topped with a Zenith D22, it is always a pleasure to use and a good conversation piece. (Chatting with coworker)"Watch this...pppfffft. See they really don't explode".
At the construction site my little Rover X 30 is super pocket friendly. Being everything on it is at chamfered right angles it's surprisingly easy to forget it's in a shirt or safety vest pocket. Topped with a TPD compliant Zenith makes it even more portable. The supplied shortened tapered tip from Innokin is preferred.
I have found that my Aegis Legend 100 has become a dust collector lately. Awe, it's a great mod no doubt. Feels great in hand, wonderful operating system that even my stumble clicks get right first try. Those times I set in my den vegging out on tv or geeking out on the internet are when it gets used, but my busy life makes that a premium these days. I keep a regular sized Zenith on that one loaded with a tastey sweet grape for special occasions.
The YiHi SL Class regretably has also been getting more shelf time lately. Another great device that's easy to hold and easy to manipulate. But for my daily uses the top shelf mods don't go out to play much. It's almost like taking out the Honda Civic (innokin kroma/rover x) for daily commutes and the classic car (JAC/YiHi/Legend) on those perfect weather days.
My favorite pod is still the Joyetech Penguin. I understand why it doesn't get much notice these days as cig-a-likes and mod/pods improve. But for basic, simple puffs from a device that mimics a pack of cigarettes in a shirt pocket that little dude is my go to. And for stealth-ing it's also easy to like. Mine stays in the to go bag mostly these days, yet if minimalism is the call of the day my Penguin is always willing and able to show up and provide a nice airy drag of my favorite midly tobacco flavored sauce using a 0.6 ohm coil pack. The .25 was too hot for me and the 1.2 gave dry hits when chain vaping my style.
Mrs. States carries an Armour Pro with a baby Cascade as her daily. She really likes the full side fire button and the colored display. The 0.4 ohn coil gives her a nice direct lung draw that mimics how she smokes. I like how the Cascade can close down tightly where I can get a few mtl puffs from her favorite chill flavors at times and she can open it back up to her fairly tight dtl style, which is about 50% airflow. It can really open for thunderstorm thick cloud production.
She also has a JAC Sandstorm with a Kanger top tank nano using an ssocc at 0.5. That is her bedside table, while reading or gaming at the end of the day device.
If I recall correct she uses around 28-30 watts on each device.
She likes the Cascade One pen setup as well. All with straight tips in the narrow opening size. Her Cascade One doesn't get a lot of runtime since the Armour arrived. But it carries easily in her purse as a backup device.
We use a variety of batteries after looking at some Mooch how-to stuff. JAC Sandstorms come with an 18650 now. I have some efest for spares and use either Samsungs or hohm cells for primary. I also dig internal batteries, as being a low power puffer I get plenty of runtime from them. The Mrs uses 2-3 batteries a week.
