Best mod for me is the minikin V2, great durable mod, and feels great in the hand :)

Topper is the kayfun Prime, I try all the new MTL rta’s, but they never make me put away my prime, just ordered 2 more, even though expensive, spent a lot more on cheap tanks that never last long.

I just want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for reading the OP

When someone lists five or six, I just count the first two they mention. If they are the first two that come to mind, then they must be their favorites, right ?

My all time fave combo is the Voopoo Drag (did that come out last year?) with the Berserker on top.

I'm not a heavy vaper at all, and care more about flavor than clouds. For me, this pair is just perfect - reliable, trouble-free, and very easy to use. The names are ridiculous, of course, but that's vaping for you.

    :)

I am really not too concerned with what year it came out, as much as maybe someone who is looking for new gear might read your post and think "maybe I could give that a try".
That's why I have always called this "The Unofficial" poll of the year.

Sigh. I don’t wonder why ECF has become a virtual ghost town.

I believe the ECF is still active, lots of newer members. But the number of Forums and Threads has expanded considerably as Vaping has become more diversified.
Just my opinion, worth what you paid for it.

Sigh. I don’t wonder why ECF has become a virtual ghost town.

I'm saddened too, as forum use is becoming obsolete. Not only ECF, but also other forums of which I am member.

I do point the finger to social media.

Forums are structured around the subject of a discussion, enhancing the knowledge; social media are focused on the person posting on them; enhancing their ego.

In this confrontation, knowledge Vs narcissism, the former took a bad hit.
It is a sad moment, with few persons realising the loss.

Sorry for going off-topic, but I really feel saddened by the loss of a great possibility of true information exchange.

Like flashlight forums, I arrived late. I missed the giant steps in technology and all the excitement that went with it.

So with that I say thank you to all the folks who paved the way for someone like me and I appreciate the tastes of the fruits of your labor. I did not help plant the seeds, or cultivate the crops but I sure am enjoying the bountiful harvest.

Thanks for the poll PaPaw. It will probably help others like me decide. Or at least make our wallets a little slimmer.

Regarding social media versus forums, I don't see the big loss. Yeah, participation is down, yet quality remains in my view.

Social media is where all the litter is now. I've been participating in a number of forums for years now. But to me the changes have been the loss of drama has been replaced with a library atmosphere. The din of a crowded cafeteria has been replaced with a calm, quiet atmosphere where researching is easier.

I'll use an example of a car forum since I saw the changes over time. While some of the long term members were bummed by the lack of activity, I noticed less of the same old sameness. Several times a week newbs would ask the same question and start new, dead end threads. So when I used the search feature to find a solution to an issue I saw dozens of threads with no actual information. That same forum is now devoid of those threads popping up.

The questions are now at fakebook group pages where they belong. The folks that still use forums as a rule do a bunch of research and in their posts say things like "I have searched and come up empty, please help" instead of "fix my car for me" posts that show up on social media instead.

I'm a dinossaur. And I like the old way. With things going the way of social media there are more opportunties to mingle with other dinossaurs since they are the only ones still hanging around.

And poll threads are one of those dinossaur things I like. At social media there would've likely been drama by now.

I agree with you that FB has diverted the information--free posts from specialised forums, but in my view, people spend much less time on forums, where the personal recognition to whatever you post, is very limited.

I had a nice experience with the flashlight forums, where I made thousands of posts in their heyday, when the LED replaced filament; it was entirely constructive until the arrival of the Chinese, who sucked an immense wealth of specialised knowledge - entirely for free.

It changed my approach to forums forever.

Thanks for the exchange. Looking at a Paranormal mod now, one that I don't absolutely need, but looks awesome...

With the background you know, I feel nervous when I draw five amps from a 18650, and start sweating if the device is drawing ten amp from the battery; rightly they are the numbers that the designers meant for the batteries.

Vapers routinely takes some unhealthy 20 - 30 amp from a battery, they are above anything safe, a current mod couldn't be ever sold with the usual approvals of all other electrical appliances, already.

So, I don't see how they could push the numbers any further, as they are already the double of anything acceptable.

Sorry for derailing the thread, I stop here...
