801 Passthrough power question.

I know this was answered on another thread but I wanted to bring up a new question. The people who use a USB pass through with a 12 volt auto adapter. I bought a 1000mA adapter from an auto parts store. It powers ok but does not produce enough vapor for a throat hit. Still works great on my laptop though. Am I doing something wrong. I cannot find a USB 12 volt adapter any higher than 1000. Thanks.

Also, whats the best way to make sure the power wire does no break. I have heard tape, but if I tape it how would I see the LED.

Legato--1000mA or 1amp should be doing the trick. Check the specs on the unit you bought again. As for the wire, most just tape it back. I do not do anything and have been using the same one for 2 months----Sun

Ya it is 1000 mA, maybe it is just a crappy one I hate ordering online since I am never home. I will just keep looking.

I am extremely excited. I was driving through nowhere nevada and hit a small truck stop, and they had a no name usb power port. And it worked. I am so happy.
