I searched the forum for USB PT extension cords and found very little. Apparently Nhaler sells them for 10 bucks but they don't really say a 901 PT can be used with them. I have no idea what kind of cable to get.

I use a dual port wall adapter (never my laptop). Heres its info:
• Input: 100-240 VAC 50/60HZ
• Output: 5.0V DC +/- 5%
• Current (1 port): 2A
• Current (2 port): 1A

I want a 10ft extension, but when I looked on this website usb cable @ Cablemax.com I saw these A-A, A-B cables which confused me plus I cannot tell just from looking at the pics if the ends will work.

I also wondered if an extension might reduce some of the power to my PT, in hopes of these blasted fire hot new higher bridged attys possibly cooling off a bit. I have 2 PT's, one manual, the other automatic.

If someone could please help me out by going to that link and then telling me which 10' USB cables would work I would be grateful. Nhalers extension said something about 20AWG (I think) but of course I do not know what that means. I really want an extension soon mines pulling outta the wall constantly when I roll over. :-x

Anyone have any input on cablemax.com? Shipping UPS is 4.87. The gold tipped cables similar to what Nhaler sells are 4.75/3.75 for the 10'/6' extensions. Here's the link to those if anyones interested:

usb @ cablemax.com WE HAVE IT ALL & MORE!

Here is the one you want. USB Extension Cables 10ft. Only $3.75

If you decide on the gold connector cables, the 1st one at the top is the one you want, but it's only 6'.

The 20AWG refers to the gauge, or thickness of the wire.

Using a 10' USB extension shouldn't make any significant difference for an e-cig.

Also, always try to use the USB port that provides 2 amps, since a typical e-cig will draw a minimum of 1.25 amps @ 3.7 volts. The same atty at 5 volts would draw about 1.7 amps.

I had a 5 foot extension that didn't work very well. Small voltages do not travel well over long distances.

I wouldn't recomend using 10ft, I think you'll find you get a very weak vape, unless you have a 510 with a batt inline with the PT and then I think you'll find it doesn't last very long.

If you have to reach a hard spot, I would use an extension cord into your 120V service from the wall. Then plug a 1amp or greater UBS adaptor to the extension cord, and the PT into it.

Thanks for looking, I appreciate it alot.

I thought if I only had my PT in either port it was 2 amps, but reduced to 1 if something else was in the other port. I never really looked at the adapter to see if one port is marked 2 amps. I first bought a single port USB wall adapter then found out it wouldn't work at all. So I will look at it closer and order the extension because I am curious as to how that might work.

Nice find for USB cables with 20 AWG power wires, but why do you then recommend "the 1st one at the top is the one you want, but it's only 6' which is not listed as 20 AWG while the next for only 30¢ more is?

Monoprice only had 24AWG wire, which at 10 feet would add significant resistance.
