Everytime i walk into my local shop its FULL of smoke. Its not a big deal to me, but i def wouldnt bring my 10 month old in there, would you? I feel like its very disrespectful to some people who choose not to be around any nicotine floating around, plus that is whats going to make people upset and hate vaping in my opinion...

This ^. I'm not talking about the OP here, but I've seen some vapers in very public situations, vaping clouds of stuff and making others upset. I get that non-smokers don't understand vaping, and that they buy into the hype, but why exacerbate the situation?

I seldom vape in public, and when I do, I always go to the smoking areas. That's just me, but the way I see it, vaping around a bunch of non-smokers will only bring about banning, as we've already seen.

Total drama queen...one of those people just looking for something to ..... about.
Probably the same type of person that spends an hour in Church on Sunday, believing they are a good person, then spits on the homeless man outside the Church doors.
They are a dime a dozen and make me sick. Don't give her the satisfaction, my friend.
If your boss is cool with you vaping in the office, then have at it.
She's just trying to conform you to her philosophy...don't give in. Just another typical ignorant person that doesn't know/understand what this hobby does for people.
If she's the only one complaining, then you know where your problem lies.
Vape on, my friend!

Solution for this is simple:

Get a cheap can of tuna or sardines and sprinkle the juice around their chair, on their carpet, wherever. Smaller amounts are better; no giveaway stains involved. Your colleagues will be disgusted, your awful coworker will be increasingly embarrassed and/or infuriated, and you will sleep soundly at night knowing your revenge was sweet. :)

The rapid onset of her supposed irritation caused by your vaping indicates to me
a little birdie whispered in her ear telling her all the horrible things breathing
second hand vapor will do to you. Now she is on a personal crusade to save the
company from from the terrible illness that secondhand vapor will cause. Most
likely popcorn lung.
She's on a power trip. She's on a power trip and setting up the company
for a hostile work environment lawsuit. She's on a power trip and actually can
think herself into being sick to get her way because her personal life is pathetic
and totally uninteresting. It all boils down to a control issue. This is what you
are dealing with. I've noticed you never mentioned that she made any attempt
to confer with you privately to come up with a mutual arrangement that would
would be satisfactory to all parties involved. That in and of itself is a very bad
indication of her intent. She is trying to exert authority (which she doesn't have)
over another human being.
My advice to you is to complain about the hostile work environment she is
perpetrating in the office as her use of chemicals offends everyone while
your vaping only seems to offend only her probably for physiological reasons.
An employee like her hurts moral and productivity.

I would sit the vaporizer on my desk, but not use it there. I wouldn't tell anyone either except one respected confidant. Give it three full days and and see what her actions are.

To me it is just an information gathering time. If she still has such actions, maybe it is time for you and your confidant (non-friend) to approach the office manager.

The press, and some people, are quick to spread fears.

switch to unflavored.... find a spray that is similar to your prefered vape flavor... stealth vape when possible... spray the scented stuff at random moments and see if she continues with the Dramaqueen stuff... if she fusses, show her the spray can of air freshener and tell her that is what she is smelling.... since the stuff she uses is not at all appreciated or enjoyed

So I work in Ad/web Design and EVERYONE including my bosses have no problem with me vaping in my office....except for ONE [edited] secretary at the front of our offices. All of a sudden she acts like she's being tear gassed the minute she steps into the building and starts making choking noises like a freakin cat trying to cough up a hair ball the size of a bowling ball. She immediately starts spraying perfume or lysol like she's trying to cover up the smell of death in the office. Now, I am not chucking clouds in here by any means and I am not sitting in a cloudy desk at all, prob take a tute every 30 min or so. She even makes it a point to let every one know that her chest is hurting and she can't stand the smell and anytime she walks by my office she holds her nose like she's jumping into the ocean. FYI I usually have some sort of coffee, cereal, or berry juice going. My other coworkers mentioned it often smells like a Starbucks (when I have coffee flav.) and actually take big 'sniffs' when they come by my office just to admire the aroma. I quit smoking about 4 months after I started working here and have been cig free for about a year and a half. The designated smoking area is all the way on the other side of the building completely on the opposite end of my office. I save a ton of time by not having to go out while I work on my clients designs in the comfort of my office. I know that I will probably have to start going out to vape just to avoid her drama and over-exageration of the issue so I guess this is more of a rant then anything. I know that I was lucky enough to vape indoors at work as most do not have this as an option but for those that have, any one ever come across this at their work place. -end rant
The Lemming smells whatever the Govt. tells them to..

Really tho...if you like your job...put the vaporizer out of sight for a while - make sure your halo is clean.
(I don't think she will be there for long...)
Nail her for the perfume and lysol spraying...it is a health hazard - me, I am severely allergic.

Would be funny to pretend vape with a pen or a highlighter just at the edge of her sight and let her ............ with her comments too.

I agree, I do find the smell of my coworkers Camel Turkish golds to be enticing and they always ask if I want one...so far I have respectfully denied them, but damn it does bring back memories sometimes. Any ways, I thought it'd be a good laugh for some. I always find it humorous when she over- exaggerates when I see her and Im vaping. Cheers

You'll get this for awhile, I did. That ruddy smell of tobacco strikes a craving. But it will pass. If you want a juice that smells like it, NEWhere does a tobacco juice that I find is dead on. Sniffed it for a while then tossed it.
As far as the co worker goes, you can't win that one. Eventually, they attempt to wear the bosses nerves down to the point the boss has to talk to you.

I vape on the sly, at whatever smoke area they have. I dont have to, but I do out of courtesy.

Good luck with that and stay away from the weeds. :)

Unless you can figure out how to get this into a lysol can, and pull the ole switcheroo?

Amazon.com: Liquid ...: Toys & Games

You are a wicked person!;) Recall a machinist on another forum who once made an adapter to refill the propellent on spray cans which still had contents but no way to get it out. Same basic problem, so it can be done.

If you could find a way to fool her into smelling a vape flavor when you're NOT, so she freaks out as usual, it might embarass her into giving it up.

Yes, the stop for three days and help from coworkers mentioned by others... Have them bring in smelly food that resembles the OP's favorite vape. When miss drama queen makes a fuss call her out with the facts.

And it will be inconsiderate people like you we can thank when vaping is banned.

So let me be the first to say thank you. lolz
I do not think I am inconsiderate. i am not hurting anyone. If I were to
modify my behavior to account for everything that might (not will) offend
someone's sensibilities I might as well stay home. Simply put vaping is not
smoking and it's not my fault some people can't get over that. I am moving
foward. Its a brave new world.

I am long term sick so 95% of my vaping is down at home where it is just me and the other half and many many animals. However Chris does work and his job often involves being in very small spaces with 2-3 other guys. Someone always says something about it giving them a sore throat or a sore head. As he has progressed through vaping technology (he started on nicolites) now dripping, it's just got worse to the point that he only vapes in the smoking area. He is technically allowed to vape indoors but it just isn't worth it. The poor sod has just quit real cigarettes within the last week so it must be tough for him to stand among the smokers.

If someone has a legitimate reason for avoiding or having a go at vapers, fair enough. But it just seems to have become cool to dislike us.
