For me, the leaking is intermittent and seemingly without reason. But....

After you fill the tank, wipe the outside completely dry with some tissue or a napkin, including the little filler hole. Any liquid on the outside of the tank may end up in your mouth or on the battery. This seems to work almost all the time for me. I can go days without a leak.

I haven't tried the comment above about keeping the fill side of the tank higher and pushing the battery down on the tank.
This sounds like a great idea though. It has the same effect.... no liquid leaking to the outside of the tank.

Also, try filling the tank only 1/2 to 2/3 full.

Also, try a new tank.

Despite this one problem, I think the tank system is vastly superior to anything else I've used, especially the ease of draw(!) and lack of filler taste .( I have a type A tank from Liberty Flights on a 650 maH eGo, but going to try a Type B when one of my two atomizers burns out, as some say they're better.)

I have been using tanks and tank atomizers now for around 3 months or longer. I have tried all sorts of things and nothing fixes the leaking through the mouth piece issue for me. I have tried filling tanks all sorts of ways, tried new tanks, different vendors, LR and different revision tank atomizers. I got some new LR tank atomizers last week and after using one for 3 days or so the draw becomes like sucking a milk shake through a straw and it begins to start to leak. Flavour also decreases a lot.

After going through about 5 or 6 tank atomizers in the last 3 months I have come to the conclusion that the tanks start to leak after the wick is gunked up and the draw becomes tight. I have tried cleaning methods with various success and a few dead atomizers. I am getting a ultrasonic cleaner this week for my bloog/volt cartomizers and will be trying all my tank atomizers on it to see if it fixes them. I know the leaking issues will just come back, but if I can get them working again I will begin to clean them every week. But I will not be wasting any further money on tanks. And hopefully will not be wasting any further money on cartomizers once I get my ultrasonic cleaner.

The tanks can leak. If it's a bad tank, change it. If it still occurs, watch when the leak starts. If it starts when the tank is beginning to reach empty, it's normal (not good, but a fault of design). When you fill the tank, there's not much of an air bubble inside. When it approaches empty, the bubble has grown to the point where suction allows the air in the tank to expand under the suction of a draw. The larger the bubble, the easier it is for drawing suction to pull more juice into the bowl.

The only prevention is to fill the tank to about 90% and refill it just before the point where flooding occurs. You'll have to decide where the refill point is. Clear and blue tanks let you see the level.

I tried an ultrasonic cleaner on one atomizer. Did not go well. Took the paint off. Left me with a dead atomizer.

Perhaps I left it too long? I don't know. I'd be interested in hearing about your experience with it and or any tips that might help with that method.

I have only been doing this two months and I have and ego-t and a 510. I loved the ego-t at first but now not so much. The ego a attys vape became crape shortly. Now I have the b and a lr and still having problems. I loved this and am so upset that what was once the thing that kept me from smoking now is making me crazy. Sometimes it floods (gotten used to checking), sometimes there is just no wicking (no matter what you do), sometimes the it cloggs, sometimes cleaning doesn't help and makes it worse. I basically am just going to use these attys up and use my cartomizers to be happy (and my 510). When i use all the stuff I got to try to make it work I will get a go go or a reo (or maybe both).
