I've had the Prodigy now since it first came out and still use it every day but am thinking of purchasing another one for a back-up and because they now are stainless and so cool you will need to squeeze some umlauts over the o. Before I do though I have some questions....

1. Do you have a picture of the new kick ... stainless prodigy that you can share? (If you already have in another thread, my apologies, my search powers are weak)

2. Is the switch silver as in the Protege?

3. Are they still engraved with the Prodigy name or do they have the PS logo like the Protege?

4. Is the end cap now gnarled as in the Protege?

Thats about it on the questions. I've said it before but just want to thank you again for a great product, paired with the high level of service you guys deliver on a daily basis you guys are aces in my book.

1. No pics yet, but from what steve has said it will look similar to the protege, smaller then the prodigy, and 5-5.5v standard with a config that will support 3.7v.

2. i would imagine he would be using the same switch, though he hasn't stated, but i would imagine it would be the same.

3. hasn't stated yet.

4. i would think so, not much room for the whole logo on the smaller housing.

I think Steve stated in another thread that it would be smaller to fit the rcr123a batteries and be a 5/6v only device. The only reason the prodigy is as big as it is now, was to allow for the big 18650 3.7v battery. I think the plan is to make a smaller 5/6v device and if you want 3.7v you will use the protege. I'm sure Steve will correct me if I'm wrong, but that's the way I understand it.

Thanks Steve. So if I order the Prodigy now, am I ordering the new prodigy or a version 1 prodigy?

This is exactly what I'm trying to figure out as the on the PS website it says NEW VERSION next to the Prodigy V1.

I'd happily put a pre-order in but I'm still curious as to a timeline.
