Hey guys i have had great response and good advice from my previous thread here as to which flavorings i should use and the best place to find them.

Thank you everyone!

I am trying to come up with an invention per say, well really a modified way to increase the potential for "speed" or "heat steeping". I know alot of people are suing ultrasonic cleaners, this in my opinion is a great way to do this.

I feel there is one major flaw, this is the fact that the bottle must be closed in the cleaner therefore preventing it from breathing properly.Wouldn't most of the evaporated solvents condense back into the juice from being contained? This would be similar to the principals of why soda can stay carbonated in a can virtually forever.

I have two questions regarding these machines hopefully someone who owns one can help me with this.

1. Does the machine create any internal pressure, and if so is the pressure necessary for the machine to function properly?
2. Do these machines generally have plastic/metal lids or are they glass? Glass would present a hardship for my design.

When i get off work later i will post some diagrams of the modifications i would like to try making to one of these and why i think it could have a potentially drastic effect on the steeping times/overall process.

A UC is a tank filled with water that radiate ultrasonic waves that pass through the water and what ever is in the water (Bottles of juice). There is no internal pressure that I know of. The unit can be operated with the lid (Usually plastic) either on or off. Most users operate the UC with the lids off.

Danny comes to the rescue again. My plan was to use flask in the UC with a hole drilled in the top with a vent hose from the flask for breathing. but as i see this is completely unnecessary if you can just throw open bottles in it with the lids off.

Thanks bro. maybe i will purchase a UC instead of a heated magnetic stirrer when my funding situation has improved a bit. For now i have the cheapo hot plate and homemade mag stir box.
