Hi all,

Just yesterday, I built my first mod; a simple 3 AA NIMH powered Juicybox variant for the DSE 901. I'm very pleased with its battery life/vapor production performance, but need advice on which glue(s) to use to make it more sturdy. I'd post a pic, but do not have enough seniority, I think, yet. It's just your basic juicy box, using the enclosed 4 AA box with on/off switch from Radio Shack, with a RS momentary switch. No LED or other frills.

What glue would be good to use to secure a liberated 901 battery to atomizer connector to the metal tube (from a burnt out atomizer) sticking out of the Juicybox? Also, what glue would be best to secure this same tube to the inside of the Radio Shack plastic case?

I have some JB weld epoxy (which is some darn strong stuff), but am concerned about possible fume issues. What do you guys think?

Thanks,

Jherek

My experience has been that the niquid will soften JB Weld. I was quite suprised at this, but it is what it is. I think there are a variety of substances sold for glue guns and it is difficult to know who is using what. Ded... uses Plumber's Putty, but I am not sure what he is using, because the plumber's putty I am familiar with does not harden.
I don't know what is best. I am exploring this too.

Interesting. JB Weld softened by eliquid  I am stunned! The makers like to boast they can fix engine blocks with this stuff.

I was too, and have used it for a variety of applications.... but it softens in a nicostick. Maybe that just says more about the Nicostick than the JB Weld!;)
I'm waiting to hear of a non-toxic adhesive that can stand up to Niquid.

Curious, I use JB Weld on my nico stick. It's still stuck on there and rock hard even with the unsealed connector. I put some rolled up tissue at the open end of the connector to soak up juice overflow and replace that every other day but the glue still gets soaked. I had hot glue gun on there before but that softens due to the atty's heat. I've had this a good while now hope I would not have to fix this again.

Jherek ,

You can use any super glue, 2 part epoxy including JB weld, or a regular glue gun.

If your JB dissolved, it is obvious you didn't mix it right.
Many in this forum use it including myself and never had that issue. Don't blame the nicostick or "niquid" or anything else.

Really cracks me up how people create their own myths, there is nothing on the juice we vape that will soften ANY type of glue or anything else for that matter. If it did, we probably would not be here.

None of the options I mention above is as easy to use as common white glue, that is why some prefer one or the other.

Oh, and you don't need "seniority" to post your pics ;)

super glue, 2 part epoxy, JB weld liquid or putty epoxy , a regular glue gun, Or when it is not seen I use Pig Putty. Its awful expensive but your not gonna harm it once it hardens (about 5 minutes)

Pigalog Online Buying Guide

I find gorilla glue just doesnt do what I want fast enough, and just ends up making a big mess for me..

The e-liquid will dissolve miracle putty. Its a 2 part epoxy. you mix it up and flatten it to a disk. let it sit a full week and harden. Drip e-liquid on it and within a few hours it will be soft.
