That's exactly how I feel today Css. It does feel like the flu. When I think back, it did start shortly after I started on the new liquid. But also it is cold/flu season where I live. It's warming up, and of course with that lots of people get the flu. I'm going to stop the liquid until I feel better, and then try it again and see if it reoccurs. I guess that way I'll know if its the flu or the liquid. Thanks for your Post and your Referrals to other links are always helpful Kate. You are a wealth of information on this subject and I always hope you'll respond to my questions, because you seem to be so knowledgable ;)
Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow. Right now I'm living on Nyquil and Tylenol.

This forum is great and I am really enjoying this listing of symptoms.

I am 16 days off of analogs and am feeling great! My sinuses are much clearer and my sense of smell is back (I ended up really scrubbing my toilet because it was bugging me). A chest cold that had been holding on for about a month left shortly after my switch. I ride my bicycle a lot and have experienced leg cramps that I never had before. I had some stomach problems the first few days, but that has gone away. My smokers hack is mostly gone and I am really happy about not smoking anymore. I have tried to quit in the past with much difficulty, but this has been an easy and relatively pain-free experience.

My thanks to all the posters who helped get me up to speed on what to purchase and what distributors are reliable. My whole switch to e-cigs has been a great experience.

I've experienced a sick-to-the-stomach feeling

light-headed or dizzy feeling

repeated warm/hot sensation at the bottom of my feet/heel (bf noticed it too)

some feelings of anxiety in the stomach

rare feeling of dry throat cough

I've used 36mg T.Wicked, 24mg JC (VG), and 24mg PureSmoker last of which using currently and that's the only one that's caused a hot feeling in the feet bizarre.

Only had a bit of a scratchy throat from time to time. I think that was more from overfilling and sucking the fluid rather then vapor.

Also had slight headache, probably from overdoing. I have been smoke free since Jan 28 after 46 years of smoking. The pros outweigh the cons by the ton - I am not coughing in the morning, I don't wake up at night coughing, I don't smell any more. When I get within 3 feet of a smoker I can;t believe how bad I used to smell. Food tastes better, my sense of smell has become acute. Energy levels went through the roof. No more ashes in the car. there will be no more holes in the upholstery in my new truck. My wife is happy too because she now can breathe walking with me or driving. I don't have to sit outside in bad weather. And - most importantly - I don't have to seek out smoking areas in public places.

I have been e-smoking for 8 days. I've been smoking johnson creek's original recipe 24mg(I love it btw). I am planning on getting a lower dose next time, because I am getting paranoid of overdosing myself.

My symtoms have been largely psychological I think. I am a slight hypochondriac and sometimes just reading or hearing something can make feel like it's starting to happen. Although I have had some increased excitablility and a little difficulty sleeping.

The strangest symptom that I have experienced thus far would be odd, swelling bumps on my lips. I have been dripping on my atomizer for a while and sometimes when I put too much on, I get eliquid on my lips, and I think that I may have had some sort of allergic reaction to the liquid. Also, sometimes when all the liquid is vaporized after a session I vape straight off the atomizer (which prolly isn't a good idea) to get the rest of the vapor, and the bumps could be a reaction to the heat of the atomizer.

In any event the bumps usually subside after a few days, and it really doesn't happen very often, but it is interesting nonetheless.

that sounds scary o____o if you're allergic imagine how bad that can be inhaling it. Goes straight from your lungs to your bloodstream does it not? Hmm. I get it on my mouth a lot since I removed the filters, just dripping on my atomizer and it sprays terribly. I think I'm going back to carts personally (though I refill them I won't buy them)

I understand that many, perhaps most of you moved from a heavy tobacco habit into vaping, & as such have made a significant, positive change to your health, but I think these symptoms should warrant real concern. This isn't empirical evidence, but after vaping for 1 day, & just a handful of times, I experienced a heavy, shallow senstation in my upper respiratory tract, & a big, fat ulcer on my tongue. Most of my vaping was with nicotine-free cartridges; I only briefly used a "high" cartridge. Doing this regularly could dry out my respiratory tract & alter the pH balance in my body, both of which are genuinely dangerous. Vaping may be the lesser of two evils, but these risks might be enough to dissuade me from the whole thing.

I don't like that these products come from China. China has a poor history of quality control & responsible, sound production. China's messed up, frankly. I see that some of you are making your own fluid, perhaps this is the way to go. Distilling your own flavors & adding them to domestically-produced vegetable glycerin sounds a lot more reasonable than getting a bottle of Chinese mystery fluid with 15 chemical components.

Ive been smoking the ecig for about a week. I was never a heavy smoker, 2-3 cigs a day and at least 3 days a week not smoking anything at all. Ive only experienced headaches, strange energy (maybe buzz?) sensations, and dry throat. Acne yes, but I thought this may have been due to a new makeup Ive been using... Ive never run the battery down, and I only hit the ecig 5-10 times an hour, 6 hours a day... Oh yeah, and crazy vivid dreams, but I had that problem since I was a very young child...

Hey all, first day smoking for me. I am using an m401 from puresmoker with a pack of the crappy carts that you can order seperate(medium strength menthol). I seem to have a headache and my eyes feel like they have a little extra pressure behind them. It could be unrelated but figured I'd let you all know. I usually don't smoke on the weekdays so it isn't nicotine withdrawal.

If you usually don't smoke that much than you're body is just adjusting to the level of nicotine in your body. You may even be getting too much nicotine. Try to vape the same amount everyday and then you'll quickly adjust. I had quit analogs for a month but was about to go back to them until I found the e-cig. The first few days of vaping I had to get re-used to nicotine. So you may feel a little off. Everyone is different. You're body will adjust.

I'm new here and i was reading all the comments that people left and I was wondering if anyone didn't have side effects.
I just ordered my DSE901 yesterday and now after reading the comments i'm not sure if this is going to be the right move for me.
I think that it is good that this thread is up here to inform people though. I'm hoping that i won't have any really bad side effects.

1. Propylene glycol will dry out your throat, so be sure you increase your fluid intake.

2. Nicotine can cause a sharp contraction, a spasm, of throat muscles. That's the "throat hit" some cherish and I despise. It can be enough to produce a coughing protest from your body.

Drink more and know that you will likely adjust to inhaling vapor over the next week or two.

Hi Variety, the chances of you having a "really bad" side effect are slim to none, and slim just left the building. Unless you consider a dry throat, maybe a headache from adjusting nic levels, a bad side effect you should have no problems. The only side effect that I had were the headaches. That was only when I decided to offically kick the 2 pack a day habit. Like Bob said your body should adjust within a week or two.

Also, my wife has had zero side effects from vaping!

Thanks you guys :) I am just the paraniod type. LOL

I've been vaping for 3 days - on to my 5th cartridge. Had a bad migraine this weekend and indigestion - but these things may be totally unconnected - I've had both before. Cartridges came with my DES 901 - they are supposed to be 'high' nicotine but I haven't noticed that 'rush' I normally experienced after my 1st cigarette of the day - so quite how strong they are is debatable. I previously smoked 4-6 roll-ups per day, I've definitely vaped more than that because of the accessibility.

Definitely noticed the change in smell of my urine (much like having eaten asparagus).

    No dry throat/ulcers etc.
