Holy cats. I've read this whole thread. Do I get a cookie? ;)

I'm on day three vaping. No dramatic side effects so far. Bit of a dry mouth, a touch of rawness in the back of my throat right after vaping a couple of times, some gas yesterday afternoon. Just a touch of edgyness from being off the analogs on day one.

I went straight from analogs to the ecig as soon as it arrived in the mail. I had three puffs of an analog that first night before retiring to bed, and that's the end of the analogs for me. I knew from the start that handing the liquid with nic in it was something to be careful with. I wash my hands after adding liquid to my cart, and I'm careful not to over fill so I don't suck any raw liquid onto my lips when I draw.

I smoked for 40 years. I've always known that all the products out there to help quit smoking were never going to work for me. This is the first product I thought could do the trick, and I do believe it has. Because I still have the smoking 'action' that I love, and a bit of nic to feed the beast, this has been remarkably *easy*. I've posted on facebook about it, and another friend went out and bought his first ecig and loves it, too. Another two friends want to try them.

Thanks everyone! I hope any problems you are having pass quickly! And don't forget, if you are quitting analogs, taking a good multi-vitamin wouldn't be a bad idea to help your body out.

I have been vaping 2 weeks.

My sense of smell is getting better! Hubs analogs smell awful but I am trying not to say anything to him.

Had to hang out in the bathroom quite a bit- now I see others had that issue.

I can make it up the stairs much better now.

Haven't noticed anything else but will now be on the look out.

I went cold turkey off analogs in the beginning of August when my first eciggie arrived. I had the common symptoms that alot of you here have mentioned but the acne issue isnt going away. Its getting worse. I also started trying some other suppliers liquids lately but I dont know if that has anything to do with it. I am about ready to quit altogether.....Im so frustrated with breaking out like this. My doctor said it may be from residual nic on my hands (sometime like in the car or running errands you cant wash all the time) and then touching my face. Who know but if anyone has any experience with acne getting worse after the initial breakouts that you get in the beginning/Please let me know...Thanks:D

I rolled off analogs around June/July and my acne is just beginning to subside. But I'm not sure if it is my face getting back to normal or this acne complex cream I am using. Also, I am finally just beginning to poop normally again (constipation was my primary withdrawal issue). Of course you don't have the pooping problem but it does suggest that for some people, it takes a VERY long time for the body to go back to normality, especially if there is a long history of smoking.

I would laugh except that's been a problem for me too. I think my system is finally normalizing though. My morning coffee actually did for me today what it's supposed to do. Three cheers for caffeine stimulation without the aid of tobacco!

I just started vaping 3 days ago. I developed a small sore in my mouth. its going away, and now I know where it came from. I also had a mean headache yesterday for like 5 minutes...I think I took in too much niccotine. nicotine is soo much better this way. I can feel the nicotine's euphoric effects much clearer now with vaping. with analogs,
I thought the nicotine effects were sleepy, foggy head, just crappy feelings along with the "fix".
I have been vaping alot, cause its new and i am excited on multiple levels! like a kid playing with a christmass present. lol
I am cutting down my chain vaping.

I also want to add, we all have to keep in mind cleanliness when using an e smoke that we are handling and reusing, i see some people having issues with sore throat and mouth, and sores, things of that nature....

remember ppl that your hands are full of germs, these germs get onto the s emoke and than from there into the mouth, so clean hands and clean the e smoke on the regular, mb use hand sanitizer and than give the e smoke a wipe down real quick. it may not nessisarily be the emoke vapor giving you a sore in ur mouth, or a sore throat, it might be the fact that its something you are reusing and handling and putting in your mouth.

the normal smokes were things we used and tossed after, so that would be a non issue. we are all looking to esmokes as a miracle product but forgetting that there's a whole new format to using it, handling it and so on...

Finally got back here. The water buildup has crested and is now receding. I thought that I might explode there (wife says no such luck). Got her an e cig of her own & she is getting used to it. Also got away from that 1st analog of the day & am now tobacco free!!! One other side effect: it takes a little longer to get to my heart target zone at he gym (about 4-5 minutes longer). And that is a real good thing. I've been working out for years to help get rid of the toxins, but didn't expect this much improvement in less than a month.
The coughing went away when I started using the True Vapor liquid. Tastes
much better than the carts. Vape on folks & good luck!:)

Also, I am finally just beginning to poop normally again (constipation was my primary withdrawal issue).

I've been drinking prune juice to help this, it seems to help a little. Usually a large glass of prune juice has me running to the toilet in an hour or so but not now. I guess I'll have to drink twice as much and see. I didn't know that was a symptom of quiting smoking till I started reading up on this today.

My other symptom is the nose itching, outside around the opening. I didn't think anything of that until I read someone else here was going through the same thing. This bothers me, I didn't read anything about this from quiting smoking so I think it might be from the e-cig. Makes me nervous, if it is doing this to my nose, what's it doing to my throat and lungs.

I don't want to quit vaping, I hope that e-cigs are safe because this has been the only thing that was able to get me off analogs in 32 years. I haven't smoked in over 30 days now with no thoughts of having an analog. I quit them the minute my e-cig arrived in the mail and have had no cravings.

I have switched to e-smoking for the major part of the day, I still find myself smoking a few analogs in the morning with coffee and in the evening with coffee or a cocktail. I have after e-smoking for about 6 weeks started to itch in general everywhere, it is not unbearable but quite annoying. I have been living in Thailand for almost 5 years now and never experienced this before but my wife insists it is because the season is changing (what you might call winter then laugh because it's not really cold) but she says it is because the air is dry. I am from a cold climate originally (Pennsylvania USA) and don't recall every having this feeling during our extreme winter.

If anyone can confirm or deny these symptoms that would be great.

I'm the pooping problem guy and haven't had a problem with dry skin. However, I can shed some light simply because propylene glycol is a Humectant.

A humectant basically absorbs water. It is often used as a food additive since a humectant has the effect of keeping food moist. Also good as a moisturizer for body lotions and hair conditions. But these are being applied externally. What happens when you take it internally?

Well, again, I am the pooping problem guy and suffered terrible constipation during my adjustment period. What helped? Propylene Glycol! As a suppository of course. And it literally sucked the moisture from my colon walls into my... poo... thus facilitating a bowel movement.

So we are inhaling this stuff and your dry skin may in fact be due to the propylene glycol absorbing the moisture from your skin tissue. But where does it go? I don't know the answer to that one... Are you retaining more water? Have you experienced an increase in subcutaneous fat (layer of fat just under your skin)?

I haven't experienced any problems other than this itching. I have done the obvious and used skin lotion however; it does not seem to have any affect. My skin does not feel dry nor is it flaking, pealing, cracking or anything else associated with dry skin it just itches. It is not the type of itch that makes you want to scratch yourself raw but it is indeed annoying to say the least. I am seriously considering switching to analogs for the weekend to see what happens and if that does the trick I will know for sure but I really hate to do that as I have really cut myself down on the analogs and I feel great (except for the itching).

After five weeks of e-cigs, the only thing I have noticed is that I'm a little thirstier than normal. I was actually hoping that I would develop that cough that I've heard about that is supposed to let you know you're lungs are clearing out, but it hasn't happened. I smoked more than a pack a day for 35+ years, I'm sure there's junk in my lungs.

Should I worry that I'm not getting any of the other symptoms I've read about? When can I expect greater lung capacity, keener sense of smell and taste, more energy, or any of the other "good" side effects?
