4th day in. Having throat problems. It feels big. I think it's from the PG. Will this eventually go away? As well as the achy bones, and dry mouth?

Drink lots of water...Ive read that the juice can dehydrate you initially. Im not sure which ingredient does that but I remember my mouth and throat feeling kinda "fuzzy", but it didnt last more than a week. Good Luck!

Many of the symptoms listed are IMO due to the low quality PG (Propylene glycol) based 'Made in China' liquids that nearly everyone sells. Most suppliers are trying to compete for price rather than quality.

Unless price is your highest priority (it seldom is), I recommend ECOpure KRYSTAL 36mg. It's an extremely high quality VG (vegetable glycerin) based liquid. You can dilute it with ECOmix (so a 50/50 blend would give you an 18mg e-liquid, but I prefer it straight. 8-o It's fantastic!

Intellicig-usa.com doesn't carry the KRYSTAL yet, so I get mine from the UK (intellicig.com).

No, I'm not an affiliate, and won't make a cent, even if you buy 100 gallons of it. :D

Healthy vaping!

Rick.
You can get the KRYSTAL here in the US from the gals at Cignot.com:
Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store.
(not a shill for them...just a happy customer).

I ordered some Lung Juice from Nhaler....orange lung juice. its got some healing herbs in it....So, im trying that now. It tastes pretty good, hope it helps.

I also switched today from PG to VG e liquid only. Made a batch of VG to use, chocolate mint, yum.... It seems to be helping the sore throat a bit.

Hope this helps someone..if they want to try what im doing.

Just started vaping to replace cigars. Love this buzz, but my chest hurts from enhaling. Could it be too much nicotine? I've dropped from 18 to 11mg.

I dunno...seems like a cigar would have higher nicotine than 18 mg. It may be similiar to what im experiencing...Our lungs are probably trying to get rid of the tar and trying to heal.

...I'm also concerned about how much nicotine I'm getting. I'm sure I haven't smoked the equivalent of a pack. I use the e-cig 6-7 times a day and usually take 8-10 puffs each time. I've already gone through 3 cartridges, so I'm either doing this wrong, or my cartridges don't have enough liquid in them...

Just keep in mind that there are studies out there that show vaping provides only about 10 percent of the nicotine absorption as compared to an analog cig. Also, with analog cigs, you continue to get nicotine even after you smoke because the particles are lodged into your lungs. Vapor for some reason doesn't stick to the lungs. So people compensate by vaping maybe twice as many puffs as an analog... and even then you don't get as much, but it tricks the body well enough to quit smoking.

When I started vaping, I used a low 12mg solution because these were "lights" and I smoked "ultra lights" so I figured it would be good. But I experienced the devil of withdrawl symptoms only to think it was "too much" nicotine (I actually started to smoke analogs again out of nicotine fear). Once I read more info about the study, I jacked my nicotine levels up to 24mg and that made a world of a difference (no more analog desires, less severity of withdrawl symptoms). Anymore than 24mg tastes nasty to me.

Anyways, here is the post on the forum:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-nicotine-absorption-addictiveness-maois.html

To summarize, it is rediculously difficult to overdose on nicotine via vapor unless you smoke 36mg+ straight ALL DAY LONG. What does everyone else think?

Hey, great post, this is helpful and has laid some questions to rest. My most un savory symptom would have to be severe forehead acne. I'm 31 and have had pimples here and there as part of the norm, but for the past week or so it's really gotten bad on my forehead and was raising concerns. I even began to think that Pro Active was the culprit. I know that when I had quit smoking for a couple months that my skin had cleared up wonderfully. Then I started smoking again and I could tell that acne was becoming an issue again. Unfortunately, I can't tell if this round its a product of the e cigg or if it's the so called toxins coming out. I do hope that this is temporary and will go away soon.

Well 4 days of reading 80 pages....All i can say is WOW WOW WOW.....A lot of info that i thought i was the only one, that had these reactions....Here they are

My first week of vaping was PG juice that i ordered from my e cig supplier (camel 24mg PG) did not know that i would develop a not a bad reaction BUT enough to make me think twice about doing this whole e cig thing...Constipation,itching,sore throat, muscle pain etc etc.....Than i found out about the VG juice. So i made the switch, within a couple of days of using the VG juice some of the allergy reactions started to subside.Good thing right? Not Really, i started do develop an allergic reaction to the VG juice.(LOL i guess I'm just not lucky )

But i cannot or Will not go back to analogs at any cost....So i choose to deal with my allergic reaction to vaping...BECAUSE ANALOGS IS NOT AN OPTION FOR ME....Hopefully this reaction is just temporary....And honestly speaking even if the allergic reaction does not go away..OH WELL i will still vape no matter what...........I'm beginning to try different types of allergy medication...(Over the counter meds that is) But as i stated before ANALOGS IS NOT AN OPTION FOR ME (although i wish i can go back to smoking analogs)
Thanks for all the wonderful information i have learned from ECF and its Members.....

Before starting the ecig I quit smoking for almost a year, I would sometimes still smoke a fine cigar or four;) Then I started back on cigs for about a month yuk, thats what made me realize how much I hated being addicted to these little sticks. So I began vaping.
Let me rewind to the topic, the side effects for the most part people are having is not due to vaping unless your allergic to pg or vg. Its natural for the body to detox and in doing so one will have a reaction to the action of detoxing. I dealt with the smelly urine and looked at it as a blessing knowing that my body was expelling all the crap it had built up over the last decade of smoking. I did get the occasional painful pimple that would not pop or want to go away, and gain weight. Also had the dry throat problem and figured my throat was healing sort of like a scab heals a cut and it becomes dry.
The worst part was the mood swings, talk about being one misserable sob. I would fly off the hinges just because. All this before ever taking a drag off a pv.
After vaping I did deal with the issue of over nicotine as I would vape almost all day long. I love vaping, im hooked ive spent well over 500 in the last few months on this new hobbie, if I could take it back I would change the fact that I started out with an inlife account, and product big piece of crap. $30 dollars for auto ship of 10 carts they can s my d, now that I know better.

So it might not be an allergic reaction after all...It is just my body getting rid off toxins??? Maybe?

There is an extreme "learning curve" when it comes to ecigs....all it takes is patience. Ive been frustrated with issues in the past but thank god i have a friend that has tons of knowledge about ecigs and she helped me out alot! This forum is an awesome tool for research cause you can ask about anything your dealing with. I am so happy now that i dont smoke analogs. And for now....Big Tobacco can kiss my behind. I will NEVER smoke a regular cig....EVER!!!

I have been vaping for 8 days now and I have had some side effects from vaping that I really don't like. I have developed insomnia, achy joints, a cough while vaping and feel more anxious than while smoking analogs. I am still smoking about 6 analogs a day, down from 2 packs (40) a day so that is a dramatic improvement. There have been several times that I have thought seriously about giving it up due to these side effects. I don't know what is causing it but I think I will try some VG juice and see if they get any better before I make a decision. I really like that I don't smell and that I have more energy but the sleeplessness is catching up with me and starting to make me feel bad. I appreciate that some of these issues have been covered in this forum. It has helped me understand better the effects of quitting analogs. I hope that I get these issues resolved. Please keep posting info on different juices and their effects. Thanks!
