Kate, if your reading this. I really do hope you consider coming back. If anyone likes or not, You are the mother of this forum. You were always there for absolutely anyone that was in need. Even when times got so ridiculously repetitive, you were still there and willing to house anyone. And while you did, you actually took the time to meet,greet and get to know almost every single member on this forum.
Sure the Big 09 boomers got a little hectic, but you still stood there with one hand open. You did touch and guide so many lives in this virtual family. God this starting to sound like a freakin eulogy!
What I'm trying to say is we are all a family here massive as it may be, it is still a family. We do look out for eachother, we help and guide, we talk and we create, we fight and defend. We reconcile and love. No matter how bad it gets, we always come back. And we'll keep coming back, because this place is our home. We do not just give up on each other, and we never say good-byes.

She must be back soon... even all of us together cannot keep up with what she can do on these boards for everyone. I refused to post anything about this until now.. I have been observing my own silence... but we ARE a family (and Kate is my lesbian lover and mom and sister and daughter and friend... does that make it incest?).
This board cannot be the same without her. If she does not come back by the end of the month... I am gone until she comes back. In observance of the Wholey Technofoggers mother superior I will boycott the boards if she refuses to come back (once she is unbanned... which better be soon.. lots of newbies need help and I can't find crap using this search engine.. only Kate can!) because it is just not the same without her.

Additionally, I want to say few words. I haven't really moved into the phase of making a lot of friends yet on this forum. I'm sure that will come in time. I usually just say what I have to say and be done with it. Yet Kate is one of the few that I've spoken with privately. That was only a short convo a couple of days ago but memorable for sure. I'm sure there would have been (and will be) many more. As you all know she is one of a kind in the best way. Always there ready to lend a hand and befriend a stranger. Not to mention a great sense of humor and wit that won't quit.
I read these forums for what must have been three months before I finally joined. It was Kate that stood out from the crowd in my eyes. She had me hooked before she ever even knew I existed. Damn that sounds weird. But it's true, lol.

But pride is a double edged sword and can be our downfall when we let it consume us. I fear that will be what prevents you from returning if your given the option to do so. Don't let it get the better of you. Please.

Aye! To the nth degree! This was the first board that I've ever had the desire or nerve to join, and that was due in large part to Kate. Like I told her, I felt safe just knowing she was here. It felt like I had been punched in the gut when I saw "banned" by her name. I sure hope this all gets straightened out! Granted I've only been around 3 months, but it only took a few hours to realize what all she does for this community and what a special lady she is!
Please come back Kate!! We miss you already!!

I leave for 3 days and look at what I return too....Reading all the threads related to this has made my stomach hurt, I hate wishy washy BS... I think Im going to go lay down now.

i had pm'd SJ a couple days ago regarding whether the ban was perm or temp...
he replied to me today... he explained that the ban is indeed TEMPORARY.. and that he hoped Kate would come back as she is a valuable member (my wording.. but that was the gist)..
there is more going on than we know.. which he pointed out.. but cannot go into.. and he has only not posted anything in regards to Kate because he did not wish to make any comment while Kate cannot reply to it..
most of this post is paraphrasing btw.. i COULD simply paste the short pm here but i didn't feel it proper without him stating to do so.. but he DID say to feel free to let people know Kate is allowed to return at the end of the ban... now we just have to hope she does...

However, I have been receiving some legal warnings recently - and have consulted with a solicitor too find out exactly what I have to do to ensure the safety of the forum. This is a really delicate one, and one that means I have to take some tough decisions.
My main issue is that I'm contracted into the server arrangements - if the forum were taken down, I could be in serious financial difficulties. I hope everyone understands - it was nothing personal with Kate. I've always liked her and love having her on the forum. She's one of (if not THE) the main personalities here.
In many ways, I'm quite envious of her. I'd love to have the time to participate in the forum as much, and with the same passion, as she does, but I just don't have the time. All my "forum time" is spent doing admin.
Anyway, if anyone has any questions, they can always PM me - I always reply, even if it does occasionally take me a couple of days.

It's real sad to hear of the problems you are starting to have. I run a forum of my own (unrelated to e-cigs) and it scares the hell out of me to hear of things like this. I know somebody who is on the verge of personal bankruptcy as a result of activity on their forum and it certainly taught me to be extra extra stupidly extra careful to the frustration of forum users.
