Now see. You are watching the clock and counting the minutes. I do understand though. No matter what type of surgery it is the whole idea is just not a pleasnt one. If you are confident with your doc that is the important thing.

I tried to get some sleep around midnight. I fell asleep around 2:30. Up at 5AM. Heading out the door now. What a day!

Thank you. I just wish I was home. This room is cold.

Some hospitals actually have heated blankets. Just keep asking for them. I'm not sure why they always keep hospitals so cold. Maybe its to keep germs down.....maybe can't pay the heating bill...but more than likely it probably just that they are a PITA.

Get a nice warm sponge bath, that'll warm ya up!!!

LOL, T, that may scare him into forgetting that he's cold! they always seem to have some east German, cold war era type nurse on staff to call up for just those assignments ... 350 lbs, hands like 24 grit sandpaper and a 5 O'clock shadow8-o LOL

I'm so glad to hear that everything went well! Ask the nurses for some blankets from the "blanket warming machine"- that DOES seem to help! It's great that you have your lap-top with you too. How long do they expect you will be staying in the hospital?

It's not too too bad. I have my smaller laptop with me, cell phone and PV. I hope to be out of here tomorrow.

I tried a couple of heated blankets. They are nice. I am just trying to get them to heat the room right. It is like, "raise the heat, please", translates to, "please only adjust it 1 degree higher". I know, I could tell them the temp but, I did. That didn't work either.

Are you allowed liquids? Try some hot tea or coffee. That might help.

LOL, the last time I had a procedure done there were a bunch of guys standing around in my room that looked like a bunch of real bad bikers. My wife asked them who they were and they introduced themselves as my nursing team for the procedure.

I made up my mind right there that I was going to behave myself and watch my mouth!
