a one versus another question

 Can anyone tell me of their experiences with "GreenSmoke" vs "blu ecigs"? I see on their website that "blu ecigs" are less expensive, but they come in 3 parts rather than 2, like GreenSmoke. However, the carrying box that charges is a big plus with "blu ecigs". I am trying to figure out if I want to order the starter kit from "blu". I have already ordered the kit from "GreenSmoke". I am really trying to go completely tobacco free. Any opinions are appreciated. Thanks, Jess

Do I have to buy liquids to refill the Ego? (and do you have their website or do I just Google Ego?) One of the things I liked about GreenSmoke's info is that there is nothing I have to do but screw on a fresh cartridge when I finish one. Maybe I better wait til I try that before ordering a different kit to compare with?

for what it is worth , I like many started with a simple kit that all I had to do was charge the batt and screw on a fresh cart. I quickly became dissatisfied with it and moved on, in retrospect I wish I had jumped in with both feet in the first place. That being said there are plenty of folks that do just fine with the type of setup you are talking about.

I owned the Green Smoke, passed it on to my kid. It is a nice kit but expensive and limited to only a few suppliers

If you want the same thing with a lot more possible choices go to value4life.com
A lot less expensive, portable charging case, and dependable service.

The Blue has a very short battery life and the carto is really tiny which means you will be filling it constantly,

Jessy: Welcome aboard, while I encourage you to research all you can, I also caution you at times it may seem overwhelming. If you reach that point try to take a break from reading everything you can find). My first exp was with Smoke51 , we bought this based on the theory that the local store would support it, the cartomizers would be easy and no mess. We found that the carts did not last as long as advertised ( actually no where near as long) and we had to recharge batteries often. After some research and appropriate amount of lurking here I finally bought the Screwdriver The ScrewDriver Online Electronic Cigarette Shop on that link you can also find a forum dedicated to the SD. These where quite a step up for us and a just a bit of a learning curve. I have found I much prefer working with juice, I have allot more control over flavor etc, and it is really fun. My husband tends to be a bit fussy and hard to get on to new things but even he is coming along well with it. Very kind folks here did point me in the right direction to purchase lower cost carts for my Smoke51 but I decided to go further and get into the mods. As much as I love my SD I might not stop there, now I am dreaming of something with a PT or maybe a Chuck(another mod). There are also enough video reviews on utube to boggle your mind, have fun and watch some of them. ECF is an amazing resource, if you have a question, most likely someone here has the answer.

Please take time to sign the petitions if you have not done so already.

Good luck, have fun and ask away if you cant find what you are looking for with the search function.

The eGo is a 510 with a bigger battery, kinda looks like a stubby cigar. The battery last me from when I wake up to when I put it on the charger at night (not a heavy vapor since using eGo, I think it's because the hits are strong and satisfying). Also you can buy prefilled carts or cartomizers and just screw them on but that is more expensive than refilling yourself. For me the carts were hard to deal with as far as getting them to wick the atomizer without flooding it. When the 510 cartomizers became available I started using them and haven't looked back since. IMO they are quicker and easier to refill than regular carts plus they last longer and you don't have to fiddle with them every minute.

Yes, I agree with KeepNitReel. My perfect vaping experience:

eGo battery (or a starter kit if you like)
510 cartomizers (blanks are better)
juice of your choice (I like atomic cinnacide)

The cartomizers are really, really easy to fill... just fill two or three of them the night before (using the "condom method") and when you get up in the morning screw one of them on there and vape. I recommend against getting pre-filled carts for the ease of it simply because it's too expensive, the flavors and nicotine strengths are limited, and filling them yourself if extremely easy. (my kindergartner could do it if I let him - which I don't)

Good Luck!

Chiqa you are right, I am getting overwhelmed with research! I think I need a break. After I get my GS kit I will try that and go from there. I was worried about re-filling carts, but with all the help I get here, I know I could figure it out. Thanks everyone!

Both my wife and I were able to quit by using the GreenSmoke kits, but yeah, they're expensive to buy and to maintain.

I'd almost say don't try any of the carts except for the chocolate and vanilla since the others had a pretty strong chemical taste for us.

Also, the carts just weren't strong enough (nicotine wise) to satisfy our cravings so we moved on to other e-cigs.

Still, the GreenSmoke cigs will introduce you to the basics of vaping (and do a better job than those kits sold at most kiosks).
