Thanks TB! I appreciate the answer and now I feel pretty good about ordering this stuff.
I'm right behind you, Sharon.
TB's find is epic, IMHO. Searching for snus in brick and mortar buildings is not so easy here in NY though. I made 4 stops until I found a dealer... the tobacco shop that I used to frequent when I smoked those foul things called cigarettes. At first, the owner of the store, who speaks a lot like Apu Nahasapeemapetilon of Springfield, told me;
"I had to send those back. Nobody would buy them. They have dates too"
(expiration dates, apparently)
He then had one of those *wait a second* looks on his face. Off he went to the beverage case where the Snapples are stored. I had no idea what he was doing there as there was a display case for snus behind the counter. I thought he was thirsty or taking care of another customer when he pulled from behind some 30 bottles of assorted Snapples a tin of Camel snus mellow. he handed it to me and said -- "this is a gift for you, my friend".
"A gift?" I asked
"Yes sir. You are a good customer and my friend. This is for you"
Feeling grateful but obligated I bought $10 of mega Lotto and thanked him. Later I realized the tin was opened and 2 packets were missing. LOL
Ok, these are full packets, not minis. They are too big for the penstyle cart as TB pointed out but I did manage to get one to fit in there sans poking a hole in the mesh. I soaked it in VG like Bob explained but I added a few drops of Everclear. It was a messy shove to be sure but it did satisfy my curiosity. It works! It works very nicely, in fact. I got clouds of vapor but more importantly a bit of a throat hit. It's not enough of a throat hit for me but it's not non-existent like, say, ecopure liquid. And, it tastes like tobacco -- not a facsimile thereof, real tobacco like a cigarette but ultra smooth.
Unlike Bob, I was able to top off the cart easily with the same VG that the snus soaked in. Who knew that the best cart filler of all is real tobacco? LOL
Today, I didnt use the snus cart. I started the day with a fresh cart and KENT liquid. To this point I can still taste the smooth tobacco from the snus lingering in my atty. In fact, the filler in the cart is dark brown now, proving that the snus sticks in the atty awhile. It's not unpleasant at all, it's a rather nice blend. I can't wait to try the other flavors -- I'm hoping for an improved throat hit with the mint flavors.
Tropical Bob -- you've out-done yourself this time. This is the most pleasant thing I ever inhaled and one helluva alternative if the e-cig apocalypse ever hits. Thank you so much for sharing this gem.
