So I used the mesh and wire that came with them burnt all the coils in less than a day. So I watch every video I can find on youtube and trying their way same thing hot spot on top coil. So I order new mesh and wire and try a few tricks I've found on this site same thing. I have went through 20 coils and 8 wicks. I'm about done.

Steps I've tried
Oxidizing before rolling oxidizing after rolling folded edges non folder edges
Hollow wicks solid wicks
28 gauge 32 gauge 33 gauge
Tight coils loose coils
As close to the positive post as possible and as far away as possible
Perfect even coils not so even coils
3v to 4.5v
Clockwise & counter clockwise

I'm pretty upset ATM I've spent a little over 100 to get these working and at this point wish I would have bought 10 smoktech rdas because they are working fine

It took me a couple weeks to get things going well, now I can fiddle with a hotspot and get it right while driving down the road (very safe I know)
Just stick with it you will start to understand what it wants

What I can say is stop throwing away the wicks; sometimes if I have a persistent hotspot, I will trash the coil, take the wick out, reoxidize/juice burn 3 times, and recoil that same wick.. no reason to waste the SS Mesh

I have had better luck with the Petar K Method (A q-tip with ends cut off works better than a drill bit)

I make my mesh to the correct size, the q-tip is exact size, and when you slide the coil in it is perfect (not too loose, or too tight)

Are you tilting while vaping? My AGA will not wick straight up and down

Also I leave the juice fill screw removed most of the time, can't lay it down but it wicks so well.

Sorry for the rambling

No don't apologize I haven't seen the Q tip method about to try now. Any help is appreciated I'm pulling my hair out on this. The reason I throw out the mesh is I normally get pretty aggravated after 20 mins and jab the hell out of it with a score driver so needless to say there is still a hotspot with a bent wick. I guess I have some anger problems when it comes to tedious little things that just won't work.

Also doing this q-tip / drill bit method, See what the resistance of your coil is before sliding in your wick. If that resistance is far off after inserting wick then you have a short before even firing the coil.

For ex. I know when my coil doesn't read 1.7 with 32 gauge, something is up

Sorry, phone just will NOT focus on something that small haha

That worked all were glowing but when I put the wick back in I was getting hotspots my guess is the wick moved it just enough fiddled with it an little more sideways no hotspots ATM.

I am really appreciating your feed back out of all the threads I've read not that many people went that in depth and took the time to go through their personal trial and errors. This actually helped :) better than any video I've seen to date you should make a video man. 1 down two to go lol. You wouldn't happen to have any advice for a cheaper but reliable mechanical to use would ya I was really interested in the China gg clone for my 28 gauge less than 1ohm coils. I have a prepaid visa I got back from a tire rebate and figure juice and a mech mod would be a good choice to combine with the new attys. I also have two did clones that only ran me 8.09 a pop from vapor joes so I'm hoping they will be able to be used with the method you just gave me.

Ya that's what I did was spin the wick that pretty much smoothed it out but what gets me is when I spin it sometimes the top coil developes a hotspot. I'm sure there is a method to the madness but I haven't figured out when the top is touching closer it gets a hotspot and if u move the wick to far away from the coil it gets a hotspot. Its just that tiny sweet spot I'm fighting with.

Glad I could help, I've been at it for about a month and finally getting to the point where I feel I can leave the house with just one tank lol. I was looking at the natural for a mechanical, but I havent ventured that far yet, currently use an evic and a vamo (mostly evic).

I hit some low ohm 30 something watt mechanical at the last vape meet and it was amazing, but I'm going to try to master what I have for now.

I'm about to try some 30 gauge wire as its in the mail, should be perfect. The 32 is nice but just seems so easy to move.
