Any bitter aftertaste is not due to sucralose. That's Splenda. Taste a packet of that -- it tastes like sugar.

Diet Coke is sweetened with aspartame which is NutraSweet and the main ingredient in Equal. It does have an aftertaste (although it's not as bad as the saccharin aftertaste.

While you have a good understanding of flavors and artificial sweeteners, I do believe you haveta take into account the fact that these additives are being put into liquid form and then rapidly heated and inhaled. It's not really about the substances in their natural state as it is about how they may react (taste-wise) to being vaporized, inhaled and exhaled.

I do, however, have another theory kinda based off of something else that someone mentioned in this thread... If anybody has been noticing a change in many different companies products, it may have been a switch in recipes at the component suppliers. IE. Possibly a nicotine supplier isn't using a pure extract or passing off something with more additives rather than a pure product. Or maybe an artificial-flavoring company decided to change something about their mixes.. etc. etc. You get the idea. I dunno anymore. If it's something as easy as changing a sweetener, I hope we can get this done for all our sakes.

I FIXED MINE!

It had a horrible bitter aftertaste before, you just have to shake the ever - loving crap out of it! once you do that, it's fine! Same old AC. Yay! :D

I decided to take your advice and shake the ever loving crap out of my tastyfinger. It really did help! It is starting to taste more like my beloved tastyfinger. I guess my mixer forgot to shake the bottle. That could explain the lack of taste. I have never had to age my tastyfinger. It has always been good right out of the box. I will start shaking all of my bottles before giving them a go.:p

I see allot of posts here about color. Color is just time.. Allot of the flavors are clear. Its not till the nic hits them that they start to take on colors. Longer the time period, darker the color. Can this just be that with his growth you all are getting much fresher product ? I have only tried 2 TV flavors and moved on to other suppliers but I do know this about colors and time. I say let them sit till its the same color as the juice you loved. You may find its then the same flavor... GL guys!

AC ordered now is different than what it was last year. I remember the first bottle I ordered in 09 was a dark red. Now when I get it its always a lighter red. I just assumed this was because TV changed the nicotine base - and that also changed the flavor.

My wife isn't so pleased. She says its way sweeter than it used to be. Maybe their supplier for the sweetner changed, thus changing the product ever so slightly.

When nicotine is exposed to air it will get a pinkish color to it and moreso overtime I think. It's a known issue but it doesn't harm the nic. Some flavorings are colored so that makes some products dark. When I got my doubler of Caramel Popcorn it was a beige or light yellow color. The 48 mg 1 oz with it had starting turning pink. When I mix the two the result is a very pink mixture :)

I'm judging the colors on how they appear once I receive them, not a new bottle to one kept at home for a month. I definitely remember my surprise at receiving my first "pink" bottle; whereas orders in early '09 were received dark red.

However you are correct as those same new "pink" bottles do darken after some time.

1st AC was red when it came. Newer AC when he switched cins was dark pee yellow and it later darkens to a red but takes a long time to do so.

When did he switch cinnamons? That could be the missing link. Do you have any link to a post that may have mentioned this? This is the first I'm hearing and I'm extremely interested to know when this happened. Please get back to me about this...

This is true on the coloring for sure, I still have 4 doublers of the original and it kicks .... over the newer lighter color in my opinion, I started vaping it again last week after taking a break for about 2 months, I also have some of the newer lighter colored version, I simply love the original and wouldn't give it up for anything, it was said it was also killing Atty's and may have been one of the reasons for the change, heck I get my LR510 for $3 and my LR306 for a tad more so who cares if they dont last quite as long I still get a pretty good life out of my Atty's and running this stuff in my GGTS/AVS with an LR Atty is just an unbelievably great vape, I cant put it down though I have to at times and just run my #2 daily favorite vape to take a break but god do I love this stuff, Geoff is pretty cool if you emailed him maybe he would make up a batch for anyone who wanted the original as long as he could get the old ingredients, maybe someone should stat a thread to Bring back the original AC, HAHAHAH

Peppermint is only pink due to food coloring. That's not a dig at V4L. While we'd all rather vape liquid without it, if you read the ingredients lists at LorAnn's, Capella's, Perfumer's Apprentice, etc., quite a few of the ingredients our suppliers have access to have coloring in them.

The only pink peppermints I can think of are candy canes and starlight mints (the round one with pink and white pinwheel designs.) And, if you think about those, the white stripes are as pepperminty as the dark ones. Is V4L's peppermint sweet? Perhaps the supplier they use colors their sweet peppermint. TV's peppermint is unsweetened. It is straight, strong peppermint that will clear your sinuses out (I should vape some today.) If you want candy cane peppermint you have to have TV add sweetener or add some yourself. (I add it so I can have my peppermint either way.)

I first ordered juice from TV on Aug 20,2010. These are the strengths and PG/VG mixtures I purchased.

1 x E-Liquids - 1 oz. - Atomic Cinnacide
- Strength: 24mg
- PG/VG mix: 20% VG

1 x E-Liquids - 1 oz. - Mojito
- Strength: 24mg
- PG/VG mix: 20% VG
- Add Sweetener?: Yes, Addtl Sweeten

The AC was yellow, not red. The Mojito was a reddish/amber color.

While I can't speak for anything prior to this date, I found both juices to be incredible. The AC tasted like Big Red gum which strangely enough I don't like as a gum but LOVE as a vape. The Mojito didn't jump right out at me at first vape, but after the strength of the AC I found it to be actually very refreshing and a calm vape.

I was worried about the CYO special this week as I don't know what my concoctions will taste like ( Im hoping for a RY4 like juice and a Mocha juice ) but I know that the CYO is gonna be hit and miss as it is not a "premium" recipe.

I have about $90 worth of juice in my wishlist that i plan on purchasing later this month or splitting it up over two months.

I can however say this:

At the same time ( Aug 20th ) that I purchased from TV, I also purchased from two other juice sites, both of which seem to have alot of respect in this community. Nearly ALL the juices from a total of 10 5 ml bottles ( yes I am searching for my "daily vape" ) only two were vapable. The others had this horrible taste in my throat on the exhale. It felt "chemically". That's the only word I can use to describe it.

A couple weeks later however, now that the juices have had time to steep, all of them have lost that chemical aftertaste and are pretty decent.

So Ive learned in my very very limited experience, that all mixes are not the same. ( Ive recieved two different colored RY4's from the same supplier as well, both tasted the same though ) Some absolutely MUST steep before vaping.

I know the plain peppermint doublers come in clear, but after a few weeks it does start to change color. My first order from TV was the Peppermint/dairy mix and by the time I finished that bottle 3 weeks later it started to turn a pink color. My AC is a golden yellow and has darkened a little with age and I have to be careful not to get it mixed with my peppermint. Stupid me did that with the last of my peppermint/dairy 48mg and it tasted soo weird. Cinnamon and peppermint don't go well together, still vaped it though:blink:.

I'm sooooo glad the FOTW is customize your own so I can replenish my peppermint mixes:p.

The only e-juice that is not in my daily rotation is my Blueberry Cheesecake. To me it needs more blueberry maybe. Just need to find the flavoring and Geoff doesn't have it for individual purchase. I keep hoping though.

Remember that Nic added to juice will also make it change color, so when juice ages it will change color a bit.! There are also other additives that can come into play here as far as color changing in juice, as well as the juice having time to Steep may change the color in the process.

I am really glad I am not the only one to notice this about the AC. I frll in love with this stuff and the next time I ordered it, it had that chemical or artificial taste to it. I am so bummed because I thought I found one of my true go to vapes but I guess not. Has anyone talked to Geoff yet about this matter. I WANT MY OLD AC!! Please help Geoff.

This thread touches on something I've noticed before, probably gonna get some flack for this but here goes...

Everybody is pointing out that TV has great customer service. They have great customer service UNTIL you have a problem with the product itself. Then they get really defensive. I understand that taste is subjective Geoff, and that you can't have people returning juice just because they think it's "off". But there have been rumblings of this before, and here's a whole thread, 6 pages of people (and not just new users, these are long time customers/ECF members) coming out and talking about how some of their favorite flavors are not the same. There is mass agreement here on specific flavors.

People have a lot of respect for TV, and no one would want to question the way you run your business, but you guys are clearly having some kind of quality control issues. Perhaps the blame lay on the flavoring supplier, I don't know, but I think everyone here would appreciate it if you'd actually acknowledge there is a problem.
