Yes, I'm still here and still using oils. Mint oils specifically. For some reason mint oils got confused with veggy oil and mineral oil. (I've got one recipe that uses orange oil that I don't mix anymore because it is such a pain in the rump to get that oil to mix)

There is a lung condition that is most often found in fire eaters that comes from inhaling veggy and/or mineral oil particulates. Folks who lean toward caution in things equate all oils to having this same potential health issue. I don't think that way. Mint oils are so potent that tiny amounts go a LONG way. TPA/TFA makes some good soluble mint flavorings that are good, but not quite the same flavor as real oil.

(I also use anise oil, but it's another of my butterfly fart things so I don't talk about it too much)

My risk tolerance level may be a bit more aggressive than some, but from my assessment mint oils don't even cause the needle to budge off the peg. Your meter may differ.

I should add that I use all glass. I found when I first started mixing that plastics effected my juices in ways I didnt like... and yeah I know what you mean about deformed bottles... lol. I had one that ended up hourglass shaped somehow. All glass for me now. I get them at Specialty Bottle.

I always, or at least since I started vaping, heard that oils were not good for vaping. Do you use Ess Oils, or what? As you're evidently still with us, why does "Mr Specialist" tell us not to vape oils?
By the by, good principal, to try all...as long as it works :D

Another point. Until there were these vids on cap-on for all, I used to leave it of 12-24 hrs, as I use alcohol based conc quite a lot, and now that I leave the damned cap on, I'm sure the taste isn't as good.

So I'm going back to CAP OFF overnight, then cap on and vape when it seems OK. You don't vape the bottle in one day, so you can see when it's best, and also add a little this or that if it's needed, if you're impatient and take a taste after a short while.
As for hot baths, it seems to work, but if you don't get all the air out, and screw the cap on...you get round balls for bottles! Heating expands air, which I forgot 1st time round :D A PITA for standing the bottle up, reminds me of a rugby ball...

Thanks for the oil info. When I think about it, the number of times I've stuck my head under a towel over a hot water and menthol ess. oil bath... Think I'll give the different mint oils a try, as they're much more varied too. There are lots of different mint tastes, that depend on the variety, and, as far as I've seen, aren't available in concentrates for vapers. I guess the essentials containing terpenes aren't too good though, but those are mostly pine (obviously!), thyme, lavender, etc., which don't really seem the sort I'd vape, IMHO. Thx and bye for now. ;)
