Mandy ANnderson, what about something like Vaporesso Armour Pro kit. It's a good single battery mod, with an okay tank. It accepts 3 different sizes of battery, so you can get something that should last you a whole day plus. And because it has a standard connection type for the tank, you have plenty of options open to you.

OMG! I came into the site more than 70 minutes ago in to try out e-cigarettes so I can stop buying, and I am more confused than ever! Can someone please help me!

I just want one of those pen looking things

  • I understand that I need a battery --- which looks like a long thing at the bottom of the pen;,
  • an atomizer which is the sometimes-transparent thing on tp of the battery which is where the liquid goes; and
  • the tip, which is the thing you suck on in order to get the vapor into one's lungs, right?
In looking at the starter kits, it appears that most of them don't sell the juice. It that the starter kits don't have?

Again, I just want a simple starter which will all arrive at once and which will have everything I meed.

Can anyone help me, please?

- Mandy

When looking at starter kits no, the majority don't include ejuice. If your looking at a pen style kit such as the Uwell Whirl 22 (a good choice) it comes with the tank, two coils, the battery, and a charger. If you were to shop at Element Vape (for example) you would then look through their ejuice section for which ejuice sounds good to you.

The reason people don't include juice and want you to shop for it separately is because there are literally hundreds of flavors and variables like whether you might like nicotine salts or regular, and how many mg of nicotine, simply adds to the plethora of choices.

If you were a heavy smoker, I would recommend you begin with some 35mg nicotine salts, But if you were a light smoker then 6 or 12 mg regular nicotine ejuice would likely work fine in that kit, but if you never smoked I would recommend 0 nicotine.

Flavoring just depends on what you like. My personal preference is desserts, so if I recommended a flavor I'd say something like Apple Pie or Cinnamon Roll, but you might not like those flavors - so a little shopping would be good for you to see what's available and give you the option to buy more than one flavor to try..

Opinionated, also the strength required depends on whether your an MTL (Mouth To Lung) or DTL (Direct To Lung) vaper as well. You have to find out which style suits you first.

So buying 0% Nicotine liquids and Nicotine Shots can be very useful in finding the right mg strength that you require. So a good piece of advice is start low, at 3mg.

You can always add, but you can't take away.

I agree, but since she's looking only at the pen style devices, I think was safe to not include subohm parameters.. :)

Your right though ..

Hey! Sure you can. I'm a master diluter. All you need is a bottle of PG and a bottle of VG. ;)

Other than that, I don't think our OP is ready to DIY. She needs to find a suitable hardware and buy a bunch of small bottles (5-10 ml) of different eliquids--several flavors and nic strengths to figure out what she needs. For now. :D

Only posted about the Vaporesso as it opens up your options and will serve well as it can do various options, and comes with charging cable.

And to get the most e liquid options 0% gives you the most and come in larger sizes, and most retailers will provide you with the relevant number and strength of Nic shots to give you your required strength. Just add, shake and leave overnight. Simples.

If you're in any doubt though, steam-engine.org is the place to go.

I wouldn't recommend the Endura T18--it's a preset voltage output that you either like or you don't. If you don't, you're not going to be happy.

Endura T18 II, on the other hand, recommended earlier, allows for some adjustments (cool, medium and warm), which is very handy and easy enough to master by novice vapers.
Thank you for correcting my post. I should have been more clear that I was agreeing with the previous poster.

Hello there, Gandymarsh! :) I didn't mean to be argumentative--just wanted to make sure the OP didn't order the wrong kit! BTW, I just learned myself that there was a version 2--in another thread--and I think it's an improvement.

I think you guys have to jump through different hoops because of that stoopid TPD. We still can buy high concentration eliquids (up to 36 mg/ml?) in big bottles and 100 mg/ml and 200 mg/ml nicotine bases. We also can have 3, 4 ,5 and 6ml tanks, while Europe's limit is 2 ml.

Katya, UK has some strange ideas when it comes to vaping.

But where there's a will there's a way.

Yes, but your PHE is light years ahead of our governmental nitwits who would like to ban vaping in order to "protect the children." In case you were not aware, PHE's conclusion that vaping is 95% safer than smoking is constantly quoted here by every vaping advocacy group! So, you should be proud of them! :thumb:

You're fine. What's important is that the OP gets the best advice available. I didn't know that the Endura II has power adjustment. I thought it was just a minor upgrade. The ability to adjust the power output is a big deal.

If you're in the UK than I'd recommend the VYPE ePEN 3 to get started. The starter kit provides you with the battery and two pre-filled pods, 1 mint, 1 tobacco at the strength of 18 mg/ml nicotine (freebase). The starter kit is very inexpensive as well 17.99. It's got some nifty features, like no dry hit as it'll kill the power when the POD is run dry. As well, replacement pods for this device are available in both freebase nicotine & nicotine salts. So it really is a good system for getting your feet wet and experimenting a little.

Once your body adjust to breathing in nicotine laced aerosol vs. smoke, and you've tried a few different flavours and tried the freebase nicotine & salt based nicotine, you'll most likely get a handle on what you prefer. At that point you can upgrade your device to one that allows you to add in your own juice.

I've spent plenty of money on different devices before I settled on what I now enjoy. It was a closed POD system that ultimately got me to quit smoking, but I've since moved onto a refillable tank system.

Welcome.

I cannot and will not recommend any tobacco company products.

That means Blu, Vype, Vuse etc are all out.

I detest Juul with a passion too, but as far as I know (only being a 35% tobacco company), they are 65% not part of the centuries-old systematic method of hooking people on your products, charging a lot on money and then assisting in your premature death.

Nah... Juul is out too. :D

Get a refillable pod system. Cheap to buy, cheap to run, no money to tobacco. You win on those three things and the #1 benefit? Your health.

I like Justfog minifit but other systems are available. :)
