Hey, have we got a thread like this yet?

The Anti-eGo Thread

Only a matter of time... :)

Hey now, this isn't an eGo bashing thread. We love the eGo. Well...most of us anyway...LOL

You hold the other mods back and I'll start the eGo bashing thread for fun....muahahhaha!!

Planning to buy an eGo battery? It's 2-3/4" long and about about 1/2" diameter, with 650mAh of power.

Need a little more juice? There's there eGo XL, measuring 3-3/4" long and with 1000mAh of power. Some call this one the "Super Ego."

Coming soon, to complete the Freudian triumvirate... "The Id." It promises to be 2" in diameter and a full foot long! With an astounding 5,000,000Ah (that's amps, not miliamps) this thing will last for months without a recharge for even the most addicted chain-vaper. It will burn a 2 ml eGo cartomizer dry in about three drags, leaving the vaper passed out on the floor for hours. When you hold the button down, the theme from The Exorcist plays, along with assorted deep growls and eerie howls. When you release the button, it flatulates a cloud of sulfurous smoke from the back end, with appropriate sound effects, leaving the room smelling reminiscent of brimstone and decomp. You can recharge it at any electric automobile charging station, and it will be up and running in about two hours. Special Id cartomizers will be released in 2011, each holding an astonishing 60ml, for an all-day vape you'll never forget... if you survive!

Reserve yours today, at your favorite e-cig dealer. Retail price: $666, of course!!

Hmmmm... As ANGUS says... Pics or... You Know The Rest!

But I digress...

I want one... Can I pre-order now?

Is it done yet?

When will it ship?

Can I use an LR Atty on it?

Can I use my existing 510 charger on it?

Do I HAVE to use the cone?

Is it still a 3.2 ohm device with known problems like MosFets that blow up if the atty resistance is too low?

Are you having a contest to win one?

Is it ready yet?

Can I beta Test it?

I saw on one thread that a guy bought three of them at 65% off...

I own a couple eGo batteries already, I don't need more as I never use them.

Only three? Amateur. I have a couple ego passthroughs and picked up 8 ego kits of different color when liberty flights was having their $40 sale. Of course I've already parted with 2 of those kits along with some boge 2.0 cartos to some people who were looking to quit smoking, and they are very happy with them.

again i just read a newbies question asking for something that looks like an analog because they only smoke socially and both responses were "buy an ego".

can people stop pushing what they like on all the new users and actually pay attention to what the user is looking for? we may as well just pull down the site and put up a page that merely says "buy an ego. it doesn't matter what you want".

sorry if i'm beating a dead horse but come on, what use would somebody who wants an analog look-alike for when they smoke socially have with an ego? not everything is one size fits all.

I have to disagree with you 100% completely and take offense to your entire post. We were all newbies at one time where we not? As newbies we all made the same stupid mistake of getting a Minni or super Minni did we not. We all are glad we got into vaping with the Minni but we quickly realized that the Minni's sucked bad especially for a heavy smoker.

What you need to realize is a newb will come on the forums and say something like this. "Hi all I'm Bob from Ohio 45 Years old. I have been smoking since I was 13 years old and smoke 2 packs a day. I feel like I need something that produces tons of vapor, provides a excellent throat hit and will last all day. Also I want something that resembles a cigarette." I guess I could recommend you to a KR 808 and you should pick up about 75 cartomizers and 25 batteries and wake up 1 hour early every day to fill your cartos. Or I could say get a Ego LR 510 and a drip tip bam your done.

I started with a 4081 and that is all I use and LOVE it. I tried a 510 and didn't like it at all my sis in law now has it and LOVES it. I am extremely happy with my 4081 and if it weren't for the 3 hour battery life (and TW's yo yo discount) I wouldn't even consider trying a ego because the 4081 gives me everything I am looking for except the big battery life. I guess what I am saying is everyone is different and some will like the KR808 the best some will like the 4081 the best some will even have the m401 as their fav and then there are those that couldn't live without the Ego or their mods not everyone is going to the same PV and what some hate others will love so I think that newbs need to be told of all the different devices out there so they can research and decide for themselves what is best for them.

Mary - I know what your saying here but.... As a fairly new vaporer I can clearly remember the feeling of being overwhelmed when I first started looking into this e-cig stuff. Newbs have no clue as to what they are about to get into when they start researching this. And to make matters worse this market is flooded with so many cute little terms such as PV...PG...VG...Mod...Atty...Carto...Cart....LR....SR.... Analog cigs (my favorite) and on and on. They had to make a sticky in the newb section just to help them out. (thank god) lol
So when a person is puffing away on their "normal smoke" while sitting in front of their computer they start out by typing the word electronic cigarette. Go ahead and Google this and this is what you get.

Electronic Cigarette - E Cigarette - Electric Cigarettes - Health Cig
Electronic Cigarette | E Cigarette | Electric Cigarette
More bad news for e-cigarettes - Health & Families, Life & Style - The Independent (this one is pretty much telling newbies to stay with their analogs cause e-cigs are BAD)
Electronic Cigarette Shop
Welcome to Smoke51.com Electronic Cigarette Nicotine alternative

And these are just the first 5 web sites that popped up. So you can clearly see how the marketing of this technology has taken shape and for the most part this is as far as MOST newbies are going to research and then base their purchases on. And guess what? They will spend a chit load of money for mostly crap. (no I am not bashing any of those products in the links) To be honest I didn't even read some of them because I know pretty much that's the crap I was finding when I first started looking into this for my wife. Which BTW we sadly bought her a BLU start-up kit at the beginning of our e-cig journey. And thanks to my hard headiness and wanting this e-cig thing to really work so we could get off analogs I finally started to pick up on keywords and/or abbreviations that led me into some forums like this. Forums are where you will find the REAL information to start building your opinions on what is the best product for your needs are because places like this are real people and not some mass marketing group trying to sell their product.

So what I'm getting at with this rant is, YES you are right, people should have lots of choices thrown at them from the good folks in here because THEY are sharing their experiences and not trying to sell anything but..... If the majority of folks recommend the newbie buys an Ego then so be it. THAT is their OPINION based on their experiences. And that is what this forum is all about.

And just to clarify, I don't think an Ego is for everyone, just the majority of them. (had to put that part in there for Zen) LOL
Personally even though it has cost a ton of money, I'm starting to appreciate the fact that my wife and I have purchased several different PV's because it has given us a better understanding of what is available out there in this crazy market.

With that said, After you use your new Ego style product for a week or so, could you please come back here and let us know what you think of it? I'm just curious if you change your opinion of your current PV.

I certainly will come back and let you know and I will probably be having myself a big helping of crow as I tell what I think about the Ego LOL :)

LOL That's not what I'm looking for though. Just your honest opinion, that's all.
And thanks in advance for letting us know.

I know it's not but to be honest it's probably true I will probably like it better than my 4081 even though I can't imagine it at the moment. I will give my total HONEST opinion IF I ever get it.....Still hasn't shipped :(

This should be interesting, as Mary goes from a 3.7v device that uses the best cartomizer I have ever experienced, down to a 3.2v device with medium resistance attys, and longer battery life. Personally speaking she could have extended battery life with a couple more 4081 batteries, and still had a cig-looking PV.
