Keon,

i7 v1 has the same specs as i7v2 accept for the holes I believe, if not please tell me what specs are different I would like to know this???.

I don't know the specs but i can tell you for sure that they are different atomizers... The first I7's didnt have the wicking inside the atomizer, they were the older SLB's. The new I7's with the holes i went through roughly 5 of them within a 2 week period with the AFS (not saying their bad but i had a few faulty ones). Im sure Imeo can let you know more on the difference between old and new I7's~

The iatties were the same from the start Keon. Only a few of them didnt had the wick inside because China messed my order. It was a disaster. I had to make holes myself to 1500 atomizers. I made 4500 holes because I made a small one, then I made it bigger, then I made it curved. I hope my next shippment will be exactly as I wanted. Those atomizers will have 2 important updates.:)

Guys,

I have to side with Zaiden because I have 2 i3's, 2 i6's and 2 i7's that I have had for a few months, and they are still going strong, and believe me when I say that I use the hell out of them. I probably go through 2 tankfulls in my AFSV2 per day, and they never fail me. I'm not saying that I never had an atty blow out, but they definately last me several weeks.

Here's what I think is happening. When I vape, I want a lot of flavor so I am always slightly flooding the atty where there is a gurgling sound constantly. Sometimes, it gets a little too flooded and I have to open the CR to clear it out, but I've become very good at controlling the air/juice mixture and hardly have any full flooding problems.

Doing this probably helps to keep the coil cooler than just vaping a very fine mist. If you have ever soldered copper pipes, then you know that it's impossible to get the solder to melt if there is water in the pipe. It just absorbs the heat from the torch and the solder will never melt.

Anyway, that's my theory and I'm sticking with it. ;)

George

Wow...such animosity towards my atomizers!

Imeo, I have no reason for tall tales and it's not just 1 atomizer. I have 4 in constant rotation and I have never had 1 atomizer die on me. Do you want me to seriously send you one? I have no idea what you will find, but it sounds like I've struck gold with my atomizers.

I believe you Zai, you have no reason to say anything else exept the truth. Maybe you got the best atomizers, maybe its the style of your vaping, maybe its the air in your house!! I dont know but I am sure that you dont lie buddy. And dont send me anything because I will not find anything to those atomizers:)

I have the original 510 that I started vaping with exactly a year ago this week and it still works.... Granted it has been sitting in the drawer for months now but it still works.... I don't pop too many atties they just get cloggy and taste bad so I put a new one on... they are consumables that should be treated as throw away items.. O and I leave the sticker on cartos in the afs.. never tasted the glue but then again they don't stay in there more than a few days either....

btw no need for expensive dremel, hands press, and other kits, my setup ?
i peel the label, acetone it, clean with alcohol then water, a lot. dry it a bit, take it to the vise, take a hammer, and a nail, and i just pop it open in 2 strokes, that's so easy.

I avoided death with the dremel when the stupid too small "thing" (not sure about the name) broke in 2 and went flying just to hit my protective glasses (yeah, safety first)

So now, i can make a carto ready in about 5 minutes top, ok the hole won't be pretty but srsly, who cares, works for meh! (and yes the taste is really different, and yes NO MORE LEAK AT ALL (finally)...

I have similar experience as Zaiden. And don't forget he is rotating four atomizers over 9 months. That comes to 2 months and 1 week of regular use per atty. Similar to what many of you have said you've gotten out of them. I have only had one atty die on me in the seven months I've been vaping. I too rotate them because I have atties for each dedicated flavor I vape. (I don't have an afs yet, waiting for the GGTSAFS, so don't know if that kills them quicker or prolongs the life). Also I've only cleaned them 3 times. Although the past few weeks I have been vaping cartos only. I feel I get better flavor and vapor out of them.

AFS prologs the life of them Dee. I used to kill one atty every 2-3-4 days and now I have one 901 inside AFS for more than 15 days. Its because atty is always wet and because liquid comes from bottom, so all the parts of the atty are inside liquid. Also atty is remaining warm because of the liquid around it and doesnt go from cold to hot, it goes from warm to hot

The last 5 months, I smoke only via the dripping method ... Because the atomizer is always wet I had not problems with atomizers ..I am using of i3s and I have not burn any of them until now.. I believe that the construction of the atomizer in combination with the way of use (especially the 2nd) have as the result for the atomizer, to live longer ... :toast:

ok finally had time to mod a kr8 carto.. made a small flat spot dremeled hole.. works great so far... better than a modded kr8 in a v1 :D

I haven't vaped it empty yet.. just started using it... @6v great @3.7v it's still good...(of course would be better with a LR carto)

anyway that's my input...
