I am addicted to WTA - an e-liquid containing the complete alkaloid profile of tobacco, including nicotine and the minor alkaloids, in the proportions they are found in tobacco. So no cheap way for me to DIY, unfortunately :(

PS - don't try WTA, it's so good, you can't go back to nicotine-only e-juice!

With "several PhD chemists on staff" I sure with they would state the other tobacco alkaloids that are present other than just stating "minor tobacco alkaloids." Are they just flavonoids or are they psychoactive and what is their chemical structure?

Flavonoids are not alkaloids at all (though both originate from plants) - I am talking about the other three main psychoactive alkaloids in tobacco, namely, nornicotine, anabasine, and anatabine. You may want to google this and learn in depth, but our brains are interested in these alkaloids as well as nicotine, to get the full pleasure of smoking. WTA contains all of the tobacco alkaloids as the extraction process leaves them intact, whereas regular e-juice just contains nicotine, VG, sometimes PG, and often flavoring.

Thank you for the education.

I was mistaken on the plastic tank - although I have never seen glass that is so light and plastic sounding and looking, I disassembled the unit a second time and I have tried a scratch test and a burn test with a lighter and apparently the tank on mine is indeed glass!

now where can we get spares for this tiny fill screw that will be lost within a day or two?

good idea, but even home depot online (as well as the store) doesn't go that small in stainless set screws

It is a standard Metric M3.0 - 0.5mm screw. Just get a Stainless Steel M3.0 Screw, cut the head off with your Dremel cutting wheel and then, using that same thin Cutting Wheel make a slot on one end for your Flat Head Screw Driver. Done. Was that easy?

Or buy these: M3 x 6mm Stainless Steel Saddle Height Screws Qty 12 for Fender MIM Stratocaster | eBay

I think 6mm would block my drip tip, so I bought the 3mm version from the same source a couple of days ago

The length of the original screw is 3.92mm.
The gap above it (when fully inserted) is 2.61mm
That means that if you use 6mm screw, it will sit 0.53mm below the surface and will not be on the way of your drip tip.

I actually would use 6.5mm screw to sit flush with the top cap.

I won't be keeping this build, because the total resistance is about .4 Ohm and it's just too warm for me. 24 gauge, I've decided, is
great for big ol' drippers, but not for the T7. I'll give 26 gauge a try next month.

But at least I can use the thing now without it dumping its entire contents all over itself. Big thanks to you guys!
I shoulda taken pictures of it wicked, but I fergot. Go me.

Are you using rayon as the wick? - that usually cures leaking issues due to the vastly improved wicking performance and keeps your coils looking like new as well

not to be Debbie Downer, but.....

this thing is the biggest POS since the Kanger Protank, every clearomizer I have ever used has been a leaky mess, getting more e-liquid all over my desk, the device, and clothing than in ME!

does ANYONE know ANY clearomizer, RBA with tank, or other magic e-juice holding device that actually works properly and doesn't leak like a sieve?

this industry will never hit mainstream if the equipment is more trouble prone than a Yugo!

do any Japanese companies make these things?

PS - the taste is nothing to brag about either, even with all the fancy Rayon, Kanthal, etc. - the taste of Boba's is no better than a basic Protank

yeah, it's like a dripper alright, but only in the way that it DRIPS all over everything!

Darn....and I was enjoying it so much. No leaking at all since the first mishap......use this more than my Kayfuns...:)

well consider yourself fortunate - I have been through 6 different clearomizers and RBA's and never found one that didn't leak - nor do I get the amazing taste or "clouds of vapor" - more like average taste, average vapor, and intermittent bad leaking, followed by no leaking for a while - no different than the original Kanger Protank, except that I am not smoking silica, which *might* be a bit healthier!

maybe I am just spoiled by the reliability of Japanese products throughout my home, with the exception of a Korean smartphone and a Taiwanese computer. (which are also reliable)
