Admin: Can you please delete my other post in the polls section? I missed the part that adding a poll will get it moved. Thanks.

So after a month of researching and thinking, I was down to getting a 510. But then I heard about how good the KR808. So out of the two which as descent throat hit? I know about the life of the 510 but not the 808. Over all, I just wanna see what you guys think about the two. I know most people speak highly of the 510 but I want opinions on the 808 too. Thanks. :p
I was thinking of getting the dual 510 mega kit since i found it for just about 42 with shipping.

I really like my 808, but then again I know a lot of people love the 510. 808 is a clean cigarette form factor 2-piece. Battery life is a couple of use hours between recharges -- with a 2 battery PCC starter kit you can go all day between recharges. Vapor4808 life also sells an XL battery that gives a long longer operating time between recharges.

(Until I picked up a PT for work, I'd basically switch batteries at noon then at 4).

Does the vapor seems warm to you?

I can't say much about the 510 because I haven't tried one. However, I LOVE my KR808D! I chose it over the 510 because of reports of longer charge time and because it is a 2-piece (cartomizer) unit rather than a 3-piece. I'm all about simplicity and easy vaping. Yesterday I was feeling under the weather so I stayed home from work and rested and vaped ALL day. I went through just two standard KR8 batteries and a shorty. I also have an XL battery That seems to last most of a regular day of vaping.

Throat hit varies a bit according to the the flavor and carto style as does the heat of the vapor. I have no complaints about either one. I would say that my shorty auto (180mAh) battery is the coolest smoke and most comfortable followed by my auto standard (280 mAh), then my manual standards (280 mAh). However, premium cartos from V4L vape warmer than regular cartos regardless of the battery.

My manual XL (380 mAh) is in a class by itself! It gives a great vape, with plenty of vapor and TH, for several hours, yet it's still slim enough to be comfortable to hold and easily carried in a pen pouch. The vape rivals that of my 5V auto pass-through.

Vapor Junction has a very good price on starter kits w/2 x manual standard KR808D-1 batteries, a wall charger, and 6 x cartos ($29.95). Vapor4Life is having a 20% off coupon special through tomorrow on everything. I've ordered from both and they have great CS. Whatever you choose, good luck and happy vaping!

I do like the fact of the two piece, but doesn't filling yourself give better taste? Or does that also depends on the brand and carto? Also, are the batts sealed? Im also looking for manual batts that are sealed, for the 808 that.

IMO... I would go with the KR808. I started on a 510, and really liked it. It was easy to use, and produced a good vapor.

I have since used mods, until last week. I decided that I wanted to try the KR808, and I LOVE it. The cartomizers are easy to use and last much longer than a standard 510 cart. I love the vapor that they produce and the flavor is fantastic!

Both units are good, and I am sure you will like either, but I feel the throat hit and vapor production is much better in the KR808. Just my two cents....

KR808 has manual (sealed) batteries available. You can fill the cartos -- some people pop the cap off the mouthpiece, lazies like me use the condo fill (put juice in the rubber cap that these come in, push the carto in, battery side down, then wipe the battery terminal off and you're all set) -- painless and fast.

I started and quit with a 510, got tired of all the monkey bussiness and switched to a Vapor King which I really liked. I'm now using the Ego 510 with cartos so it's a 2 or 3 piece system. I found the carto's prefilled for the KR808 that half worked well, and half didn't, I'm not having that problem with the ego with carto's. (carts are a pain) The Ego batteries last a long time, although the extra long Vapor Kings last awhile too. Either one is a good choice, I just prefer the Ego.

Egos are nice, but I was going to hold out on them because down the road I was thinking of buying a Chuck. But when I do buy my first kit, which right now is a KR808, i plan to buy the mega batt kit.

If it was me the deciding factor would be if you are going to drip or you want to fill the carto.

Personally I use a mod with a 510lr atty. I tried a few cartos and for me is was better than using carts, but the taste and vapor wasn't as good as dripping onto an atty.

You could always get a 510 kit with cartos...but can't say I've tried a kr808 so im a bit biased

Started vaping with an ego. I didnt like it to much because it didnt feel like a cig. Then I got the 808 from V4L. Thats how I got off the cigs. I now have a GLV-2 5v. Now this thing is fantastic!!! But I still use my 808 everyday. Mostly when Im out running the streets taking care of stuff. And at night. As of yesterday I have been smoke free for 9 weeks!!!! BTW I ordered a Chuck last week. Cant wait to see what Jeff does with it!
