when I countertwist, it very quickly gets to a point where, if I release it (in a controlled fashion), it just unwinds any built up tension. (it counter-counter twists back to a relaxed state) I just figure that's good .. . . . .. I certainly can't twist it any more . . . cause it just untwists and finds it's place. I can't really twist it any less, cause I see it all coming together, and it looks good. did I get the fancy wire? . .. .. that tell's me where it likes to be?

So. My latest 4 batches, 5wraps around 1/16 drill bit gives me 0.55 to 0.6 ohms. That sound about right...? I'm guessing if that's lower than what y'all are gettin, I'll reduce my counter twist.

Sounds about right. IIRC about 5.5 ohm per foot.

It does look a bit over-twisted on the left. I twist it until it just interlocks and forms a single strand. It looks more even that way (like the right side) but I can't really tell much difference in the vape if I accidentally over-twist it.

Cut that piece in half and wrap two coils and see if you can tell a difference side by side. It's all about how it vapes to YOU anyway.

Thank you. I'm just going off the film, and I think I'll try it with 2 strands first> what do you think?

I would say go straight to 3 if you've done triple twisted before (if you have the right wires)

The most important thing for triple twisted anything is that equal tension for all 3 strands is super ridiculously important. I'm not too good at maintaining that so I get 1 or 2 spots of weird twists along a 2 feet length. I find that even with the slightest tiniest slack, you'll end up with a small bunches up section

If anyone has been watching the "sick as teets" show I should make you aware that I do 3 individual strands then back twisted them together. Best with .6mmX.07mm Kanthal. Not sure where he thought I was twisting 2 strands together in the first step, although some do leave out the 3rd strand in the second step for VV devices that can't do sub-ohms or for an atty that cant fit the 3 strand. Maybe that got misconstrued. Anywho, lots of subscriptions to my YouTube coming in today.

I never saw any other video than your's Mr. Mundy, I just thought I'd try 2 first because I'm inexperienced at twisting wire (I only did it once before) so I thought it might be easier to take it step by step, but I'll follow your instructions, I'm sure it'll be fine.
