Haven't had time to work on it much between honey-do's and doctor visits and CT's etc.. I have a surgical consult Tuesday and may be in the horsepistal for a while soon. I have had pain ranging from mild to "can't stand it" on and off for awhile now. Seems I have a "Hernia involving the small bowl" and have been warned when and if I need to make an unscheduled visit to the emergency room.

Seems .NET doesn't like 1bpp images very well. The actual manipulation of data is pretty straight forward but I am having to write a custom class calling on gdi32.dll and user32.dll for the conversion from HEX to image and from image to HEX. I am fairly certain that all things in .NET are inherited from two undocumented parent namespaces called "Microsoft.Incomprehendable" or "Microsoft.Dosnt.Work.On.What.You.Want.It.To".

No worries on re-flashing, I have done it several times. I made my USB quick connect since I also won't be using it to charge with. For the power wire I put a small alligator clip on the end of it. For the 3 other wires I removed a small connector from a junk board I had that had the same spacing as the through holes on the SX350, pulled the male pins out of it and soldered them individually to the board. Then I took the female connector, cut it down to size, removed the pins, soldered the USB board wires to them and Bob's your uncle. The picture is a little deceiving, but they don't stick up as far as the screen does.

ha, the question was about flashing custom text to my sx350 board like mr mundy did, I put up a post in the wrong thread(mundy's magic) and then I deleted it when I seen it was in the wrong thread but he already saw my post and answered it here without me even having to ask. this is the mod I'm working on

Has anybody used MM on the Origen V2? I am real close to getting one, I've heard great things about it. Just wondering how well MM works and if it's too big. Thanks!

Lol. I can imagine the sheer heartache from trying to attach ONE MM to the center post.

2 for a dual coil...? Oh boy it'll be interesting.

It's so hard to tell from pictures but I think pdib is on to something. It does look really good for your first try (better than mine did) but there should be no gaps. What are you using for tension?

So a few posts back Mundy mentioned that he hand twists the 3 strand countertwist now. Well, at first I thought he meant that he uses his hand drill, but now I think he really did mean twisting by hand (right Mundy?) I decided to try it out. This way rocks! Its so much faster and easier and you get perfect interlocking twists! It's hard to explain without a video, but I somewhat loosly (enough to provide tension, but also able to pull the wire through) hold the three strands between my pointer and thumb with my right hand and spin the wire with my pointer and thumb with my left hand in 1-2inch segments while simultaneously pulling with the right hand. It's like a zipper and it just falls magically and perfectly into place in no time at all.

That description is pretty confusing, I'll try posting a video tomorrow

looks GREAT for your first try! A little loose, maybe? Can't tell if it's that you needed more tension (and equal tension) on the 3-wire back-spin, or if you didn't backwind it enough. (I'm looking at that gap 1/4 in from left and 1/3 down from top . . .. of your pic)

Thanks. I was having trouble getting all 3 strands to hold tight in the drill chuck, so I used two vise grips, on at each end which made the tension inconsistent. Next I'll try the hand method.
