I hogged mine out big enough for dual magic but I have to feed them into the holes at the same time.
Not very easy to get one to move without the other moving after.
Clamping them together lightly with vise grips before insertion helps.

Other news, my 100' of ribbon wire came in the mail today! Looks like I'll need to go out and get an actual drill (my heavy duty impactor w/ quick release won't work for this), while I'm at the store ill probably grab a variety of small drill bits.... could use a drill press too... may as well get a grinding wheel while im at it.. oh yeah and a garage (to turn into a workshop)... man this is an expensive hobby

Sorry to add more secrecy today but lets just say the idea is hair brained, I have seen nothing like it (may be a reason for that), resistance wire would not be necessary, and that I don't really want to divulge the specifics until I am sure there is a benefit.

BTW, I don't know what bee and monkey were talking about either, but I have the suspicion it has something to do with darkzero, a hybrid atty, and a Reo.

Hehe thats funny.....I had the same issue. Hex to jacobs chuck was the answer for me.

You are not kidding about the expensive part. I have a next door machine shop on one side and the other side is a carbon fiber prototyping company....and I have still spent a ton. I have big plans for my dna20 though. Cant wait to start building it.

Monkey is sending me something in the mail. I think he thinks I know what he thinks he's sending me; but all I know is that I think I know what he might be thinking. When I open it, I'll be able to describe it.

I know Rob is pushing the beryllium copper stuff; but I don't know when I'm receiving the beta testing stuff. I have no intention of being coy when I get it.

Darkzero and I are trying a pseudo-hybrid atty setup. It may be a step (the step) in the direction of a proper REO hybrid setup (the second step would be to finish design on and mill up an hybrid atty). It may be a good enough solution in itself that there's no need to go full hybrid (might be best to keep it cheap and accessible to modders). It will help me to decide (test) whether an hybrid REO mech would even be worth the trouble. I'm seeing some delicious v-drop numbers even with the 510 in the mix. At this point, we are just marrying the + end of the deal with a single "thru" + post, which serves from coil to juice feed. If that does anything, I will rig some temporary connectivity from the atty body to the aluminum body of the mod (offering a better route than the 510, but still using the 510 for positioning/structure). I figure; either the difference in performance will be small enough that we find it's just not worth it, . . . . or the "monopole" pos. post will show the majority of the improvement (and we just develop that idea), . . . . or the whole shebang proves worthwhile and we make up some prototype atties that seat right in the REO's throat and have a single pos. post that runs right down to the juice tube (shaking hands with the firing pin on the way through).

510 connection points are as important as battery contacts. the battery contacts and the 510 connections are really the 2 biggest points of resistance problems in any mech, so anything that's going to give you a more solid connection there with less chance of resistance is def going to be an enhancement. even if it didn't make a huge difference in your absolute peak numbers it would still be well worth it because it'll insure that you are always at your peak, where with regular 510 connection the connection can and will get oxidized and require maintenance and performance will drop as the connection degrades and this maintenance becomes required. I hate 510 connections personally, shame they have become the default universal connection, I'm also working on my own atty design that eliminates it too but mine won't be drop in, Ill modify the reo body to receive it

excellent point. thanks for the reminder. My best v-drop #s come after cleaning and fiddling with the 510, re-seating the atty a couple times, etc.
