so I decided to open my chalice up a bit and allow it to fit some mundy's magic in it, the chalice post holes are very small so I opened them up with the next sized bit, not sure off hand exactly what size it was but I'd say it is now probably equivalent to the size of the stock post holes in the rm2, I remember mm being a snug fit to the rm2 posts and now this one is about the same, plus with the larger post holes the screws now really hold the wire much better, before with even 28ga the screws couldn't even go in straight, I think the chalice is designed for 30ga or smaller wire really
now I did post a few pics of this in the microcoil thread but figured I'll put it here so I can talk more about it without going off topic there.
when mm first hit the scene I tried it a few times and to be honest I just didn't like it. back then I was not doing anything with DIY juice though and all my
vaping was strictly with store bought juice. now back then I think I was just getting too much flavor overload even with a regular micro coil, I mean higher wattage was enhancing the flavor already, and the microcoil was enhancing flavor, and the tiny chamber atties were also enhancing flavor and squonking for a fully saturated wick each time also, even more flavor enhancement, so I was getting so much flavor amplification even before the mm that with mm it was just way too much. i haven't used mm in a long time because frankly I just didn't like what it did to the flavor... I was having a hard time with that much flavor even before adding mm to the mix
now fast forward to today, I have since started playing with both unflavored juice and with diy. I have since discovered that I really don't like anywhere near as much flavor as most store bought juices give... I mean unflavored was a real revelation for me, such a pure clean vape... I discovered that I really like that fresh clean vape and when it comes to flavoring I do still like flavors, but no where near as much as most commercial juices give so now I mix what is usually around 10% store bought juice to 90% unflavored base... not every juice gives enough flavor at 10% some may need to go to 15% or 20% commercial juice to 80 or 85%unflavored base but this is much less flavor than any commercially available juice and I really love it, enough flavor without flavor overload
so now I decided to revisit the mm now that I've solved my excessive flavor issues and now.... wow... now I guess I can see why so many have raved about mm... now I can actually see what it does, it really changes the flavor a bit and amplifies certain aspects of the juice, I don't really use mm with anything that's citrusy and on some juices it amplifies parts of the juice that are better off left muted, but with some juices wow, it really adds and enhances the flavor is a way that it kind of changes the flavor profile, for example it may make a creamy flavor way more creamy and smooth or it may make a sweet juice more rounded, for me it's not for every juice still but on the ones it does work with it works pretty nice...
so far I've only been playing with it a day or 2 but I've found a few juices from the steam factory that just really pop with mm at a diluted mix, so far I've been really loving blueballs from the steam factory, it's a complex blueberry and the mm adds a nice sweetness but also adds a creaminess to the flavor and really makes the juice taste even better. I've also liked screwberry from the same vendor, again at a severely diluted mix... still playing with what I do and don't like but now mm really does make some juices really pop for me, something that never could have happened for me before with straight up store bought juice as it comes...
I would also add that if anyone finds themselves having a hard time finding that all day vape or finds that almost any juice they try just isn't really doing it for them, I would HIGHLY recommend you go out and get yourself some unflavored juice and try diluting the ones that you have already, it can really make a juice that is way to overbearing into something really nice, something that you can vape all day or even all week. then you can also try mixing 2 different juices with some unflavored and really open up your vape to something you can really like instead of something you can just kind of tolerate...
mm with diluted juice is fantastic for me now, really liking it atm and I'm still playing with other flavors to see how they react too. like I said it will change some for the better and some for the worse but for the juices it plays nice with it really does make them delicious
if you feel your spending way too much on store bought juice then diluting it and vaping it with mm can save you a lot of $$ too, I didn't start diluting for the money saved but that's just a nice bonus on top of it, a 30ml commercial juice can now net me up to 300ml of flavored juice to vape and the cost winds up going down drastically.
