What about WizLabs? $1.49 for 8ml... or is that just for TFA flavors? I love the little glass vials, they make excellent bottles for small test amounts.

Andria

Oh, d'uh, I completely forgot -- which is weird considering I got more of those glass vials than anything. LOL. But they have no FA and that's my main draw for ELM.

Ha! That's kinda hard to look past, ey? Capella Cake Batter is a no for me as well. I tried it once and that was all I needed to tell me to not touch the bottle again. Oddly enough, Nature's Flavors does it pretty well (meaning Cake Batter) -- it's odd becasue NF does so much poorly that I was surprised that they could pull off cake batter.

So I'm curious which Nature's Flavors you didn't like. In my (admittedly minimal) experience they've come out on top in the majority of my multi-brand comparisons. So far Earl Grey Tea, Cranberry, and English Toffee have come out way ahead of the competition, and Mint, Cream, and Butter are in the "at least as good as" category. Though I don't use the last two much, so haven't tried as many brands.

I'd have to get back with you on that one because they were one of my first and out of the 6-7 bottles i originally got (I tried a few more after that), about half of them came with this white crust around the top of the rim (LOL) and they all smelled remarkably like perfume. I think I had mainly fruits, but since I chucked most of them them I'd have to check my account info at ECX to tell you what they were. Ginger was a keeper and so was Cake Batter. That said, I can say I did not try any of those you had so my opinion was maybe prematurely formed, but it wasn't necessarily rash.

Just a note... about that "Smoky Cappucino" mix I'm working on; I only had a small amount of it left, maybe 2-3ml, so just for the hell of it, I added 2 drops of the CAP Hazelnut I got today -- UNBELIEVABLE! It's amazing -- still not a great copy of Long Bottom Leaf, but the Hazelnut adds a lot to the full flavor.

The original recipe was this:

cappucino 4%
VA TA 1%
sweet cream v2 2%
vanilla custard v2 2%
sweetener 2%
WTA 9%

I'm altering it a bit -- a bit more smoke, a bit less cappucino (that european coffee flavor is STRONG, and kinda bitter -- I'm strictly an American coffee drinker!), and I thought a bit of my "Sweet Flash" would also go well, kinda turn up the throat hit a little. Also, after my experiment with the Vanilla Custard v2 the other night, I decided to use the TFA French Vanilla Creme instead. So this is the recipe I'm just about to mix up:

Inawera Cappucino 3%
Inawera Virginia tobacco Absolute 2%
CAP Sweet Cream v2 5%
TFA Sweetener 3%
TFA French Vanilla Creme 2%
TFA Milk Chocolate 3%
TFA Dbl Chocolate-Dark 2%
CAP Hazelnut v2 2%
(24mg).MM WTA 10%
(12mg).Sweet Flash 5% (in PG - 6% Flash, 6% sweetener, 12mg nic)
Total "flavoring": 37%

Although I'm using the WTA as an actual flavor, because it's mothersmilkWTA and so quite smoky, that can definitely be left out, but the VA TA should be increased in that case, to maybe 3%, to keep the smokiness. Obviously the Sweet Flash can be left out, though then you'd need to increase the Sweetener to 4%-5% (depending on preference -- if you don't like coffee too sweet, then maybe not). Leaving those out would bring that 37% down to a reasonable 22% flavoring, 23%-25% if you increase the TA and sweetener. I added the 2 chocolates to the original mix afterward, to try it out, and it really helps, kinda wrestling that bitter coffee taste to the mat so it's not so damn bitter.

I was just curious, no doubts at all that the ones you tried were that way for you. I just thought I could maybe cut down the costs of future experiments if I knew which ones hadn't been very good.

I went back in to my account and the only ones I could find that I bought that were bad to mix with (IMO) were Maple, Black Cherry (the worst), Kiwi and French Vanilla. It's kind of difficult becasue of friend of mine and I were buying and swapping samples so some of them I realize were on his ticket. What's cool though is that I have one of his trade boxes here and last night I went through it and found Earl Grey -- so I will see what's up with that one. I'd basically written on VF but I will at least try the ones I have that I had yet to try.

Amoret, how did you mix with NF Earl Grey?

Andira, congrats on the mix. I made some nasty spit last night! LOL. I forgot what is was like to make such a nasty mix.

I've just been using between 2 and 3% (I'm waffling on which I like better) but keep in mind that I'm not fond of sweetness, so you might want to add a little if you prefer tea with sugar.

Well, thanks to DIYing, my vape area has grown, and caused the relocation of more of my actual kitchen stuff. *sigh* Tonight we went out to wallyworld and got one of these revolving dealies:

vape-area-001.jpg

...because before it was all on that thing, it was all over the place here -- which now is well on its way to being actually available as a work space!

So tomorrow, I can actually get creative with all those flavors, instead of trying to figure out where to put them! :D

I prefer blueberry wild...haven't added yet and stock just arrived this afternoon...next go round...maybe mixing tomorrow when boys at school...Mr Mann keep us updated on BlackBerry, lately I am finding myself pleasantly surprised more and more by some yes....flavor west....after smelling my flavor arrivals today I swore to my husband it's probably just something like fw green or red apple and churro, or cinnamon Danish, maybe some extra cinnamon fw of course likely..this specific Apple pie my wild goose chase....no, I'm honestly looking at some fw flavors lately(fruits, sassafras, root beer float)...but I researched the vendors other mixes, did some reddit research reading when someone was trying to clone another one of his mixes, and getting some sort of clues adding up for me to think fw now(2 odder flavorings mentioned)...it's probably gonna end up being this obviously easy recipe that I am overanalyzing and making complicated...

Andria, I added 3% bw to recipe this am, starting low, I can increase when/if do revisions...let me know what you try and how it works out if you use bw or the ina shisha bilberry...

yeah some mix fw at higher %'s...some of them seem to need higher %, but some seem to be better at a lower %...guess depends on the specific flavor and the individual's tastes.....I mixed fw cantelope at 12.5% just as a solo thing this morning ,and woooooo boy(!!!!) either needs a lot of aging to tame down, or I need to mix that one at a much lower % for my tastes maybe like around maybe 5% next trial-gonna take a few mixes to find my sweet spot or find out if I even like cantelope flavor in a vape(freebie), on other hand, blood orange at that % might work, smells ok so far, little stronger than my norm, but if I can lower it in next trial to 10 or even 7%, I will, seems like it has potential...just playing around and going off % recs I found around here to see what I get with small batches...I normally do lower honestly for most of my own personal mixes....why I didn't start low, don't know...I'm going reverse

That's great. I've never tried any of their flavors because the recommended percentages is usually high.

I don't think that FW is necessarily any more in need of higher percentages than TFA (or even Capella), and even still, as baseballmom pointed out, it ain't even necessarily a given. The few FW flavors I mix with I keep at 4-5% and 6-7%. Maybe it really boils down to if you plan on making an actual mix vs. using a flavoring as a standalone.

Anyone here found a stellar blackberry? I am still looking.

Back when the super concentrates were the cool new thing, I remember a lot of people going on about how much they liked the SC blackberry from vaping zone. I never tried it, so can't tell you anything else about it, but you could search for info/reviews in the vaping zone super concentrate thread here. I did try the SC blackberry from ECX, and didn't like it at all. Tasted somewhere between grape juice and artificial grape flavored candy to me.
