After unit #37 shipped, i dropped the center pin another 5 thousandths(so first day orders only, if you ordered on the second day, your pin should be .005 lower), . I can find out thru what order number that was and press your pin lower if youre one of the customers who got the higher pin, no charge and we'll pay the return shipping too.

The problem you have is trying to fit all the various manufacturers out there,none of them can agree on what length to make their connector so you have to compromise a bit. With the .005 drop, it should now be about a flush fit with a standard 510 atomizer.

My wife dropped mine on concrete the first day I received it. There's an ugly nick in the brass ring and several matching nicks in the button at the same location. Purely cosmetic and doesn't at all effect performance.

I will; however, second the "drag" on the button much like The Yeti reported. If it doesn't get fired straight up (as in pressing the button from the edge of it) it'll give a tiny drag. Almost feels like some sort of "child-safety" mechanism like on a Bic lighter.... just have to press a little harder. But for me it was just a nitpick. I only mentioned it because I saw the other post referring to it.

If you are feeling a bit of drag and id recommend taking the button out, and taking some fine steel wool or fine sandpaper and spinning it around the button shaft, the button shaft has two flats machined on it so theres probably a bit of sharp edge there creating some drag.

To keep costs low on the Simplicity and keep them shipping out in a timely matter, we don't do any hand fitting or polishing like we do on the ELA and P+, they are just as machined, so you may have to do a touch up here and there.

Cool! I'm more than happy to do anything I can on my own here to make it work better. But until I can buy and replace the blemished button and ring, I'll just leave it the way it is for now. It still performs great! Thanks for the tip, David. I will do that when the time comes.

Take a bit of fine sand paper or fine steel wool and hit the corners of where that flat transitions into the round. Also, get up towards the top just under the head of the button. We do deburr them when they come of the machine, but a bit of fine detail work there will make the switch action smooth as butter for you!

Yep redmadder is right. It's the Mini B by Doc Dave which is the longer of the two. The other, Mini Micro(?), has a shorter tank.

I say +1 on a stiffer spring option I haven't noticed any sticking of my button, maybe the tiniest bit, but I haven't been doing the pinky-fire with this mod. With its size I find I actually prefer to put the button against my palm and pull the mod downward with my fingertips, kinda like the way I used to use my old Screwdrivers

That pen clip it great. The gap does not bother me that much, but the right sized washer would also eliminate it.

I got mine a couple of days ago along with a couple of drip tips and I'm impressed. My only other mech is a Natural so going from that to the Simplicity is quite a step up to me. Seeing as the Simplicity is just a simple machine and assemble, I really can't wait to get my ELA now.

I only have a carto to put on it and a crappy cell pic for now but I do have an ERA on the way for it. Will try to get some better pics up when it arrives.
