A sincere pleasant day to all.

I am aware of the $20.00 upgrade of the Provari from V1 to V2 and I am also aware of that V2 has a wider voltage range of 2.9-6 volts and offers a higher amperage output to support low resistance atomizers and cartomizers.

What I am not aware of is that when Provape upgrades the device, will they also simultaneously upgrade also the other Physical changes found in V2 like the newer top cap and the omission of the Solder points (images below) found under the top cap of V1?

If yes, would someone please be kind enough to explain what are all the other changes that they will provide?

Thank you very much for your time and best regards!

As far as I'm aware, the upgrade only covers the controller board itself -- the LED and other stuff remain the same. I have not had it done though, so I do not know 100% for sure that they don't also do the endcap. You should get an official response soon, these guys are pretty on top of the forum... :)

Hi Good Boy,

The V2 upgrade usually consists of a software upgrade, adding components and occassionally, depending on how old the ProVari is, it may need to get a new circuit board or wiring to the top cap.

We don't usually change the top cap unless it's an older version of the ProVari. Also, if we see that it has the older spring in the end cap, we will replace that as well. Same with the older windows we used to use.

The led ,display, button ,well everything is part of the controller board. I figured they would either be changing a resistor or reprogramming the UC .

Its nice to see they change anything worn or old too.

Good point! I should have thought of that when I wrote that the LED color for example wouldn't/couldn't change.

A sincere thank you to Kenny and Celilia you guys are really the best! This is my first time to contact you guys and I must say that I am really impressed and at the same time honored that you answered my queries here. I did not expect that people coming from a very high regarded company like Provape would be so considerate and attentive to their loyal customers at the same time. Again, thank you guys!

I hope that this thread would also help other people with early Provari units like me (one of the first owners of the Provari Black Powder Coat) regarding their concerns with the V1 to V2 upgrade.

Really, I thought that the $ 20.00 upgrade from Provape would be nothing but a software upgrade yet I was so surprised after they replied that it would be really more than I initially expected.

You guys are really great and my respect for the company has increased even more. The sensitivity and the attention to detail that they have for their customers and the Provari units are once again really exceptional.

I really commend you guys and wish all the best for Provape and now I am so excited to send my unit in for the upgrade and looking forward to add more Provari units to my 5 Provari collection. Thank you again guys!

Hope to hear from you guys again just in case you missed other details in this thread (like a youtube video I saw where after one Provari user received his unit after an upgrade it was also amazingly polished like new by Provape).

All the best,

Good Boy
