I think e-cigs are close enough in action to cigarettes that during a weak moment like that you could pick one up instead of a cigarette and get over that weak moment without restarting the habit.
I bet the majority of those who think they'll vape for a few months and quit will be back to cigarettes within a few years unless they keep that e-cig handy.
I guess you are right.
Still, I never quite realized how any people take vaping as a cessation route, and just this.
It made me reflect a bit o what I was actually thinking and planning on when I got my first kit.
And I realize that I never thought about it as an intermediate step towards quitting smoking.
Just a replacement and of course, a way of getting rid of tobacco, as the thing had become an heavy burden for me.
But it's also that there is little understanding of how a vaporizer works, and therefore diffidence on how safe that could be on the long run.
Scratch a bit and sometimes you realize the simple mechanics behind a vaporizer are well beyond what people wants to discuss and understand.
Just a few days ago, somebody finally erupted "Safe.. You say it's safe.. So where all that vapour COMES FROM?"
Echoes of witchcraft denser than my vapour
When I mentioned Vegetable Glycerine and Propylene Glycol the eyes of the person were already as wide as plates.
Strange names, mysterious names, dangerous ones. How could something with a name like that be safe for you?
I suddenly felt any inclination to explain further, well, vaporize
After all, as somebody remarked above, it's my lungs I am taking care of.
And they can take care of theirs as they see fit..
