That sounds wonderfull. Smoke free company. I work at a big company. They tried a no smoking on property policy about 10 years ago. Somebody got killed because of this policy which forced you off the property to smoke. Lost millions over that. They immediately changed the policy back, and built outdoor smoking area's right outside the buildings. Right now they don't have an e-cig policy. And I will be a deep stealther, until they have one. So at a desk I do about 10-20 hits per day. And everytime I hit the restroom, unless it stinks in there.

Cool thread.

Well I'm in middle management and work at our corporate office, which is fairly large, about 350 people in our building. Luckily middle management comes with an office, instead of a cubicle farm or out in the "pit" of open desk space as we used to call it when I was a purchasing agent. I stealth vape in my office. My boss is a Sr VP and he knows. In fact he asked me the other day...why do you still go outside? And honestly, I don't want to abuse it. I'm not one to rock the boat. I don't want to piss off the haters and start a ruckus that ends up in HR and ecigs getting them banned in the building. I figure, if there is no policy, and I'm not rubbing it in people's face, then so be it. I'll do it quietly with some discretion so as not to screw it u pfor everyone. So I stealth vape a few hits here and there when nobody is in my office. And when I'm on a conference call, damn right I close the door, and go to town baby. This KBV Cinnamint makes it smell like freshly chewed Big Red in there :) But I still go outside to really toot it up when the urge strikes.

And you know, there is the social element to the "smoke hole" out back. Most of my friends, I've met in the smoke hole, and we generally coordinate our trips out back by email or IM. So I may never stop going out with all the folks hitting their stinkies. But since I've started openly vaping in the smokehole, I've converted at least 8 people in that smokehole. And not by being Mr Pushy Super Advocate, but just by answering thier questions and pointing them to ECF when their curiosity gets the best of them and they finally ask...WTF is that thing? I never push though. Nothing worse than a preachy born-again "non smoker" IMO

Anyway, that's my story

I am not only allowed to vape at work, I am encouraged to. One of my co-workers made the switch on my recommendation and my boss said he'd pay me a bonus for anyone else I'm willing to guide in to a good PV.

My boss cares about each and every employee and treats us like family. He's a good guy... and the loss of his father to lung cancer four years ago is still fresh in his mind.

That's a really great boss you have. Everyone should be so lucky!!!

I had a first at work yesterday. Sitting in a looooong meeting, hashing over some details, and coming up on the second hour.... Urgh. I grabbed my ProVape (I carry it with me everywhere) and said "Guys, I'll be back, but I've got to run outside and puff on this thing for a couple of minutes." Loud chorus of "No! We have to get this finished! Just do it in here!" I closed the conference room door, puffed away, answered a few questions, and we got the rest of it handled in time for the next meeting.

My boss doesn't know I vape. The HR person knows and is really cool about it (she won't smoke around me now!) and my supervisor knows I vape and lets me take sneaky hits off it on the checkouts if we're quiet and there are no customers. Otherwise I either ask if I can go for a cigarette (he's Polish and his English isn't great yet) or just go to the bathroom and vape.

One of the best things is that my militant anti-smoking co-worker tells me that my menthol cartridges make me smell of a sweet shop and she is fascinated that I can vape in the bathroom and canteen and she has no idea that I did it.

I run an Independent Verizon Wireless store and I vape all day. When customers are in the store it starts a conversation and next thing I know I'm helping save a life (or extend 1 at least). When my boss is in the store he's aware I do it and I just keep the amount of vapor to a minimum out of respect (they are hindi and religious and smoking is not allowed). :)

I am the office manager for a trucking company. My boss has been totally supportive of my vaping. I sit at my desk with a pass through. Every time one of our smoking drivers comes in he says, "Hey, have you seen that e ciggarette that Tracy has been using?" Then he brags up the fact that I haven't had an analog for over a week. LOL He sees it as a benefit to the company if drivers quit smoking and start vaping.

1. The trucks will stay in better condition. They won't smell like smoke for the next guy that has to get in it. No burn holes in the apulstry.
2. Drivers who switch would be in better health, therfore affecting our insurance rates as a company. Less claims in general would help keep our rates from going up every year.

I vape in the Virginia office for my company (my home office) without a problem (and a couple of coworkers might be switching over as well), but I have to go to the NJ office this week and I can't there (officially, stealth is still a viable option) because of the state indoor ban (that was a lot of parenthesis).
