Already thinking of getting a Protege, but I need advice!

IMO the best option is to get it 510 and use the alt smoke 510 to 808 adapter, it only adds about 1/4" in overall height. this is what i use on my silver bullet with carts, and it couldnt work any better.

I ordered a couple Chucks, at 5am, as well as dse 905's at 6am. Tried ordering exhaler to see what that was about, but he cancelled transaction.

I will have some bullits coming soon as well from our friend Rob.

I still believe, when Leaford gets to China, V4L gonna get the BEST mod on the planet(so far) it is just one of our list of things to do this year.

I seriously doubt, any of these will be much better, than our new extra long auto's, and manuals being made, and shipped next week for cartomizers. These will ALL have 10 plus second cutoffs.

For those of you who have our latest batteries....they ROCK,, both manual(13 second), and auto(10-13 second)...these are best so far.

I also talked to Imeo, about doing some stuff. Man, I am going nutz again.

We also gonna have manual pipes soon, customized, and upgraded, from standard, in 5 colors.

I got my first ever e-cig monday, been vaping since.

I read and read and... read on the subject.




Since I'm that kind of guy that loves metal toys... I need a stainless steel tool. I fell in love with the protege. perfect size and look! So I'm thinking of getting me a xmas gift.

Now can somebody tell me what is the best route to get a protege and not having to tape some holes and having 10 inches of adapters to vape on a V4L cartomizer?

I would really like to have one with the shortest adapter possible.

-So I need a protege from puresmoke, which one do I chose (901,801,510???)
-I think I would need a adapter to a KR808 carto. which one? (I read that vapor county sells one, but they don't ship to Canada!?)


I'm not going to buy one tomorrow but I'm thinking of getting one.

Best route is to get a 510 protege, then go over to altsmoke.com and nab the 510 battery-KR808D-1/greencig adaptor. its tiny, i got one, has the proper draw and works great..and its like half an inch long total, about 1/4 inch added length when installed max....oh and it's built like a brick outhouse

Many won't realize it..but this is the intelligent way to go about it. You can't offer the world something new without looking at the old and determining whats good/bad about it and offering something better.

My suggestion on an e-pipe: The lady-mini pipe is so popular because it has a removable/replacable atty (801 isnt it?)..the 601 you're buyin the *bowl* to replace the atty..which seems like shootin yourself in the foot for parts sales...people will just buy a new pipe..and will probably shop around for the best deal once they realize it..the mini pipe is by far the best..and manual is even better.

I've built a mountain of mods for myself, and every single one of them can work on a cartomizer..although save a few, all of them require an adaptor of some kind to get there. I'm totally going to sell a pile of them soon and try to narrow it down to just a few. Too many batteries to keep up with.

I'm overjoied that you're considering battery mods...While on the move..driving, at work whatever..i use standard batteries. At home, visiting friends/family etc I use battery mods. It's more convenient that way. This brings V4L one step closer to a "one stop shop" for all our e-cig needs.

Oh yeah, BTW; i was reading the above and saw: "Tried ordering exhaler to see what that was about, but he cancelled transaction" At which point coffee, which i was trying to drink, mysteriously exploded into a fine mist and sprayed my supersized LCD monitor, which I then had to clean. Not sure of the cause...but my sides hurt now too..it's a mystery...

That's great news Steve!, do you think your future mod will be a small metal tube like the Protege? For me It's not about the 5 or 6v it's about having something that doesn't look like a cig that is very durable, made of heavy gauge stainless steel, that very small, and.... very long lasting battery! So for me it's either the protege or the small GG (don't like where the button is)

For the record, I LOVE stainless steel! It would be nice to have a portable V4L vaping machine like that for home use, but I do like the convenience and portability of the current V4L line when out and about.
I have thought about the Protege also - I like the way it looks, the size, the ability to replace batteries, etc., but I am going to hold out for a few months because I am really happy with V4L and Steve and Mark (and let's not forget Leaford!) and I am really excited to see what the boys can come up with in the near future. Keep up the great work!

here is what I had to do with my pipe so I could use a carto!
I call her the Frankenpipe:

With just the 801 to 901 adapter with a side hole in it( the gold ring)..too short!

With a 801 to 901 adapter and a battery extender for a charger (no hole in it like the 901 to carto adapter):

I agree...the only thing I would like to see added to it would be an LED...but other than that I do like the chuck the best out of all the ones I have seen. Plus there is enough room in there to have both a manual switch and auto switch built into the same device... with the cut off. The customer could have the option simply by flipping a switch. Lots of possibilities.

I really want one of the laser pointer mods. Depending on which connector it's made with, it shouldn't be too hard to get an adapter that would let me use a cartomizer on it. I'm tempted to order a couple of the pointers and try making one over at my friends house. I lack the tools to do it, but I'm pretty sure his dad has everything I'd need in his shop. Honestly, though, I'd rather just buy one already built.

I already have a Silver Bullet from them and it's built like a brick outhouse. It's machined out of a single piece of aluminum and the fit & finish is absolute perfection. The BB (Black Beauty) is being built the same way by the same people.

In another month or two, there will also be a USB passthru option for the BB.

If Steve ever has his own V4L battery mod, I'll order that too.
