What type , if any, of a smoker were you? The stomach and head bit is from too much micotine, though lasting a hour or so... I don't know about that, possible I guess, but on 3mg?
Now when I started... 48mg was need to kick the habit for the 1st month

Wow. 48mg?
I didn't even know the nic concentration could be that high.
Must have been super harsh?

I just smoked around 2 to 3 cigs a day. I could have easily quit smoking but I really liked vaping and the great flavor i tried on a friend's vape setup.
So i decided to give it a try.
Edit - I should mention I've been vaping for around 2 months now.

Yes, 3mg is way more than enough for you.. 1.5mg even.
Since I was a 2PAD little cigar smoker, it took a lot to replace that. Now, I use 3mg, and get the same symptoms as you when I up it to 5mg... [emoji13]

Yes i wanted to go to 2 mg but Sadly juices here have a minimum of 3mg.
There are a few custom brews but they're way too expensive and the flavor is not that great.
And i don't know how to brew myself yet. But I'm reading a lot about it now.
Any tips?

How long did it take for you to come down to 3 from 48? Years?

36mg for a few months after that. 21mg for about a year or so, 18mg 9, 6, and now 3mg for the last year. All this over the course of just over 4.5 years.

Thanks everyone for your inputs.
I just asked this because i was feeling kinda funny in the stomach today after vaping a lot.
And then i realized just now that i can still feel the nic buzz even though the last i vaped was an hour ago.
Is that normal?
Does it happen to any of you guys too?

It could be that you have a nic buzz. I know I sub ohm and if I chain vape at 4mg after a bit I won't notice the "high" feeling but I get upset stomach like nausea. It may just be the nic.

DIY isn't hard at all. Plus it will save you A LOT of money on juices. I DIY and on my 120ml bottles it cost me $3 maybe $4 on some (if that). Best thing I would say is swing by the DIY section of the forum and introduce yourself, talk to people and let them know what flavors you like or think you will like and they will tell you everything you need to know. May be info overload at first but you will get it. The most expensive thing will be your nic (500ml of 100mg all VG nic will make you about 160+ 100ml bottles. For 100mg liter of nic is $50 give or take and that will make you over 320+ 100ml bottles @ 3mg. If the FDA ends up putting a stop to vaping I would say stock up on nic (100mg is going to last you the longest cause your not going to be using much in every bottle of juice you make).

I never thought about counting puffs until I got my Smok Alien and G-Priv as both have puff counters.

I vape 5-15ml of 2mg eJuice a day. Over 500 puffs isn't completely uncommon. I would guess I average about 300 puffs a day.

My main mod (but not only mod) is a 5 month old Alien with almost 30,000 puffs on it.

I wouldn't worry about it unless you are feeling sick.

I was only vaping for a month when I decided I was going to diy. Lots of research at first and it's pretty simple when you get down to it. Mixing By Weight: Basics 101

The OP can also mix by volume. May work better or the OP may see that volume works better the them. People told me mixing by weight was the way to go so I bought a scale and everything I needed and found that I only use that scale to weigh out portions of meat to dinners after I kill a deer or hog. Mixing by volume works better for me. I see so many people saying "mixing by weight is that only way to go" when just like vaping, whatever works for the individual the best is the way to go. There is no right and wrong way to mix so instead of giving people that may be interested in DIY JUST mixing my weight, we should include a link to both and say take a look and read over info and see what would work better for that person. @JCinFLA (now a friend that lives around the corner from me) mentioned mixing by volume and that's the way I mix because I found that I liked that way better. Just putting that out there that the individual may find one way better than the other for them and with noobies always coming in the forums we need to open their eyes to both way, not just 1.

But I've heard that stuff like nic and pg and vg, they get spoilt easily.
Apparently they get oxidized?
And that can happen in a bottle as well. Because as the bottle empties, the air comes in. One of my friends recommended not to buy big bottles.
What do you think about that?

Cigarette is suposed to be about 20 puffs. So pack a day smoking ~400 puffs. Step it up lightweight!!! :vapor:[emoji23]

Oh, my mods don't count either...I think they can, but they are lazy slackers.

Hahaha [emoji14]
The best answer I've gotten.
"Step it up".
[emoji14]
I've noticed that cigs have way less concentration of nic though.

Thanks for this.
I'll be sure to check out the mixing by volume section as well.
It might suit me better.

PG and VG may slowly degrade, but both are easily available and cheap. Personally, I only keep liter amounts of both around as I can get more with free shipping on Amazon. Nic should go in the freezer, preferably in glass bottles. Keep a small amount out for your usual mixing needs. When the little mixing bottle is empty, pull on of your larger glass bottles out, refill, and return the larger bottle to the freezer. Nic should last many years if kept cold.

As for bottle size, I'll buy a liter at a time and split it up into 250 ml glass bottles for long term storage in the freezer.

Would nicotine go bad if not kept in a freezer?
How long would it last at room temperature say 30 degree c?
And how slow are we talking about here for pg and vg? A month? A year?

30 C is kinda warm.Kept in glass at that temp you should still get a year or so out of it (maybe). In the freezer, 5 years easy. Several folks have looked at, and are looking at, the longevity of nic at different temperatures. AFAIK, folks have shown as far out as 7 years and still going strong, do it really is worth making room in the freezer for it is well worth the effort.

Since I saw that @Wheelin247 tagged me in a post above...I've been reading this now this AM. So I'll jump in here, too, a little bit.

I've had the same gallon jugs of PG and VG in use for more than 1 year. They're both still as fresh and good as they were when I bought them. They don't "go bad" as in spoil, because of their composition. I just keep them in a cool place, away from sunlight.
