I will no longer be selling the reomiser . The atomizer is not durable enough for the average vaper . Until I have time to build one a truck can run over I wont be selling any rbas

Sorry to see it fall by the wayside (I love mine and it's the only thing that sits on my VVW) but I certainly understand your reasoning, and like Jack says, the REOmizer filled a need that doesn't necessarily exist any more. Thanks for looking out for us on both sides of the REOmizer's release.

It is a shame the atomizer works as good as the best on the market . I cant take the verbal abuse anymore . I have got some nasty and I mean nasty emails from people about the atomizer . I never tried to fool anyone I made it very clear its a mass produced atomizer modified for our mods . For those who have them and are happy with them there welcome to pm me I would be happy to sell them one . I have a box of them sitting in the shop .

Sorry you had to deal with that, man. I thought you did a great job managing expectations from the project, I went into it with my eyes wide open and was very pleased with the results.

Now then, when you do create a REO-worthy RBA from scratch, please consider making as much of it as possible glow in the dark :)

Perhaps Jack & I could team up and provide these folks with some final resolution? Adjusting expectations and attitudes is right up our alley.

I will stand behind you with disdain on my face. I really can't see why people think that being on a computer gives them the right to be jerks.

I had no idea about complaints. Sorry to hear that Rob.:( I think you were absolutely honest and "above board" with everyone here and configured us one of the handful of RBAs that we could use. I have 2 of them and have no other RBA. I also prefer a "side" air-intake RBA so that limits my choices but I'm absolutely happy with both of my "reomizers" and I thank you for providing them to us.

I might be one of the "reonauts" contacting you privately when I need another one...

Thanks again,

Norman

Since one of the more functional RBA's for BF's is now off the market, I wonder if a group buy might be worthwhile on the Chalice? I'd buy one.

I don't understand why people go to the effort to design something, prototype it, work out the bugs, and then not make them to sell. What has it been since December the Chalice has been out of stock? I don't do CNC machining but it interests me and I have read up on the subject (at a hobbyist level) and my next-door neighbor is a CNC machinist (was making fighter jet landing gear parts last time I asked him). Maybe if a group of us committed to the Chalice we could get a run produced. I'd like to have one.

I would like a Chalice also!

I'm vaping off a chalice on a grando as I read and write this and it is an incomparable vape. I saw where someone posted that they just emailed mark bugs site and they are sending him one? I emailed about a week prior requesting to purchase one and got an email from Drago at Mark Bugs stating they were out of them and that I had to subscribe to the news letter to be informed when chalices would be available again. So don't get your hopes up.

I am a noob to vaping and nearly virginal with RBAs, my only prior RBA was a hornet. I loved it until I got and understood the chalice. Now it would be like comparing the first girl you ever kissed to the woman you married (unless you married the first girl you ever kissed) it is that good - in a league of its own?

I lucked out to get it, but I did have to trade my beloved first REO for it. Thank god Rob still makes REOs.

Just my :2c: But I dont see the Reomizer as the problem. I think people just expect to slap it on a mod and it will do great and wonderfull things there is a definite learning curve to it. I would be curious to know how many of the nasty messages were from people new to Rba's and how many were from others.

I am new to Rba's and it took me close to 2 weeks of tinkering until I was truly happy with them. To me it's part of the fun and at best it cost me a few bucks in wire and wick. I have spent a lot more money on pure crap on here that did nothing for me and fell apart or now collects dust the Reomizer does not fall into this category :D

So do you RBA folks make your coils as needed or do you stock pile a supply for future use?

Im thinking instead of the current screw down posts a easier hinged lock in place clamp.....then a self coiling device to be able to set at any Ω. Just wait till Im healthy enough to get to my work bench.....I'll make millions...millions I tell you! Muhhaaaaaaaa

I make my coils as I need them, which more and more infrequently these days.

Rob, it sucks that you got grief over this, and I agree that you never over-sold what the Reomizer was.

I do see a bright side to this though. Hopefully now you will have time to design the first hybrid bottom feeder. Just imagine a Grand with a built in RBA. An all-in-one device that simply has a screw off atomizer top (with a side air hole please). The posts would be permanent and the user would only need to add coil and wick. No more danger of crushing gaskets. No more potential leaks, or even the need for a catch cup! Less connection point should mean cleaner voltage from the battery to the coil. The hole thing would be anodized or powder coated so it would be a great look. You could make it in any or all of the battery sizes available.

That sounds great to me for a mechanical mod. Now take it one step further, and instead of going VV, use the DNA20 board to have a VW mod with a 20 amp limit. You would no longer have to worry about your coil setup. Simply use whatever wire with whatever number of wraps you like and set the power to your desired level. The chip will pump out the appropriate voltage.
Whuddayasay Rob? Sounds like a winner to me...

Rats! I was trying to use up my mass production attys so I could buy a reomizer and get a chance to complain about it too. Now I'm SOL. I miss out on all the good fun.:(

I don't even know what to say I'm so ticked off at the ignorance of people! Rob is one of the MOST honest, upfront, humble, hard working, thoughtful, generous people in the world!

of... i DO know what to say:

USER ERROR!!!!!

Yeah. I don't get it. Like I said, this was and still is the only RBA I have and it was a "god-send" compared to the disposable attys I was using. I have 2 "reomizers" and bought extra screws w/allen wrench, 0rings, etc. but have never had to use them. I've been careful not to put too much pressure on the posts, etc. and they both are still working beautifully.

I also have 2 friends that bought REO Grands and "reomizers" after I did that both now have the "Chalice" and while it's no doubt built of more solid material, more durable, etc. so far (to me at least) the actual vape pleasure is not radically "night and day" different (and it costs 5x as much!)

Perhaps that seems blasphemous to the "Chalice" lovers lurking about but in any case Rob did what he said he was going to do: He configured us an "affordable turn-key RBA that fit our mods" and I thank him for it.
