Hey there ECF.

Here's an idea for adding a personal touch to almost any mod.

I got the idea from a vaper who put a temp. tattoo sticker on his mod for looks. I had been going through my old comic collection and had a thought.

Wouldn't it look cool to have my favorite comic art on my mod? So here's what I came up with.



I really like how it came out, and think it should work well for almost any paper pic or photo. I am more than happy to give a break down of how I did it from beginning to end for anyone who wants to try.

I cut the pic to size from an old comic book. Wrapped it around the mod and sprayed a tin bit of hairspray onto the mod and edges of the paper and stuck them down.
Then I clear-coated the whole thing with Rustoleum lacquer.

I think that's the coolest thing i've seen! I am going to try this on on the bottom two rings of my vamo!!

How many coats of clear? And how does the edge of the paper look?

I am trying to post a pic of the seam but it keeps saying my pic exceeds my quota. I put one very light coat and let that dry fully for 15 minutes, I think this helps keeps it from soaking into the paper. Then I put 4 more coats a few minutes apart, wet sand with 1000 grit sandpaper, and one more clear-coat to finish.

If you measure you can cut the paper to fit exact with no overlap and it looks clean. I cut it too short on this one so there is a gap between edges.
