Zoid!
You are awesome finding these actual studies!
I tried but couldn't find the specific study.
You are a research expert!!!

It's Funny how Lots of these "Studies" mentioned by the Media are Very Hard to Find.

It's Almost like they Don't want you to Read them? Or see Who Funds them?

And would Rather that the Reader Swallows the Op-Ed Qusi-Science that people like CNN Spew.

Or for you to know where they got it and find out that all they did was to glean information from this and that - repeating bad information as fact.

It took some Digging, but I found the Text of the Study that CNN is referencing...

http://pediatrics.aappublications.org/content/pediatrics/early/2017/02/02/peds.2016-3224.full.pdf

Yeah.... A lot has been Glossed Over.

One I would ask is Why is Dripping/Non-Dripping even relevant?

And where is the Study Evidence (likely NIH and FDA Funded) that makes the Correlation between Dripping and Higher Potential Risk?
Not the full study, but the abstract of the study they're trying to use as the basis of "dripping=more danger"
"Direct Dripping": A High-Temperature, High-Formaldehyde Emission Electronic Cigarette Use Method. - PubMed - NCBI

Clearly a Study Protocol that was Based on Common Sense and Real World comparisons.

Anyone who uses an e-Cigarette knows that e-liquid that comes from a tank is Vastly Less Harmful than e-liquid that comes from the end of a Dropper Bottle.

Bring on the Closed System PMTA's

Well, we all know how toxic e-liquid is, can't have teens accidentally getting drops of 0-6mg/ml nicotine liquid on their fingers...

Good Point.

And it Clearly Supports the Underlying Purpose of what these "Studies" were funded to do. And CNN is more than Happy to Promote this Purpose.

What do you want to Fight Against?

That Dripping is supposed to Incur More Risk than Tanks on the Population Level?

Or that the Statistic that x% of Teen Vapers Drip?

Or that these 2 will be used Against Open Systems in the PMTA Process?

Because that's the progress. Isn't It?

Yes.

All of it.

That misguided studies are being used to fuel public fear, in order to effect or substantiate policy decisions.
