Barney , he lived to be 18 years old ! And then I had Rocky , he lived to be almost 17 years old !
And now I have Teddy , he is a Australian Shepherd, tri-color . My boy , he will be 6 months old his birth day was 11/29/2011.

Here is a picture of Barney , the older one . He's about 15 in the picture , getting grey in the face, and the puppy is Rocky .
They were both Border Collies . Like I said before Barney lived to be 18 years old and Rocky now gone , last August , almost 17. And I had a Shetland Sheepdog , a (Sheltie) , named Nicholas, Nick for short , he got sick and only made it to almost 9 years old. They are truly missed, past family members !

You know I got Barney when I was 19 years old ! And I'm now 50...lol . Barney was the first dog I had on my own that was really all mine. I mean, I had dogs growing up when I was a kid , and what not , but they were really my parents .Barney and Rocky 001.jpg24605947G.jpg24605947A.jpg24605947C.jpg24605947F.jpg

Three years ago I took a job that was 4 hours away from home. For a whole year, I lived away from home 4 days a week. Rank has it's privileges though and I gave my wife a choice of me getting a girlfriend or another dog as I wasn't going to live alone during that time.

When I woke up from the anesthesia from the frying pan removal operation, I went and got Duke. His mothers milk had dried up and I got him when he was only 4 weeks old because the breeder didn't have the time to dote on him. During the last three years, he has been my constant companion at home and at work. He actually has his own chair in our board (spelled bored) room. He has his own business cards as VP of Security and bringing a dog to work has had miraculous results in the company morale. I took over an ailing company and old Duke became the mascot that pulled everybody together.

Dog spelled backward is God and there is something to that.

Duke says hi by the way

Upon hearing that her elderly grandfather had just passed away, Katie went straight to her grandparent's house to visit her 95-year-old grandmother and comfort her. When she asked how her grandfather had died, her grandmother replied, "He had a heart attack while we were making love on Sunday morning." Horrified, Katie told her grandmother that 2 people nearly 100 years old having sex would surely be asking for trouble
"Oh no, my dear," replied granny. "Many years ago, realizing our advanced age, we figured out the best time to do it was when the church bells would start to ring. It was just the right rhythm. Nice and slow and even. Nothing too strenuous, simply in on the Ding and out on the Dong."
She paused to wipe away a tear, and continued, "He'd still be alive if the ice cream truck hadn't come along..
