I found some adhesive vinyl automotive sheets online a while back and ordered some samples the other day. Well, they came in and I found that the Burlwood vinyl was just so damn classy looking that I had to see what it looked like on my P10. Poor girl has been soaking up some damage from some inadvertant drops and a few scratches. I was just going to buff them out, but after testing these sheets, I'm going to stick with this.
I did a review of the supplier and products here:

Just one sheet is more than enough to re-skin my poor, abused P10 dozens of times. It's not expensive either ( average around $5 ). It is barely noticable as far as the thickness of the vinyl is concerned. It has a flexibility like electrical tape and the adhesive is super strong stuff. It peels of clean but takes some effort. Not likely to peel off through wear.
The burl really looks real too. Has a sort of 3D type look to it. Doesn't look fake like some others I've tried. Now it matches a few of my pistols, my old humidor, and quite a few of my pens and pistol grips.
I thought that the bare P10 was beautiful ( and she was, before the battle damage ), now she's beautiful and protected. The vinyl is really some tough stuff. It was designed for automotive use after all. She was a Rolex of PVs....now she's a Rolls Royce
