As far as regulations go,
It wouldn't matter if we never saw a single battery explode, or a hundred, the Regs would be the same.
Regulations only rig the industry so BT and the über wealthy get to play.
Don't kid yourself.

I have to agree with a good many of these posts about an unprotected battery in the pocket and the possibility of that being the cause of the battery shorting and causing the serious injuries in the pictures. It is easier to blame the device that causes an injury, fire or "explosion" then to actually do the post incident forensics. I would like to see a close up image of the contacts on the battery to see if there is any arching to prove it was caused by a short. Too many fine products are blamed for EU caused problems.

Are we to Assume even when a battery has warning, people take time to read it?

Batteries are designed to place into devices, not as pocket warmers

Do not disagree, there should be warnings......but they may be ignored.

If this was the cause of his injuries, the Electronic Vaping device had nothing to do with it. Ignoring basic logic was the cause. Batteries should never be transported loosely and unprotected. Change, keys, any metal objects can close the battery circuits -/+ and short the battery – any battery for any use, with exposed terminals.



Seriously, if your business would like to know anything about Vaping, E-cig safety, The different types of E-cigarettes/Vaporizers/Mods, there is a wealth of Accurate information available. Myself and thousands of others would be glad to assist.



Education, more so than Fear mongering strengthens society.

I think, in the US, there is a law that mandated warning stickers must be in place at time of sale.

It's on the box of purchased from a B&M.

I always order my batteries in pairs and they come in a small plastic case that works great for carrying batteries in my pocket safely. maybe vape shops need to start giving young customers I.Q. test before selling them anything. perhaps even a law requiring an I.Q over 60 in order to buy vaping equipment. you need to pass a safety course to do a lot of things in this country. nothing is idiot proof
