This is beck's wife. Unfortunately there was a serious accident. Im at the hospital waiting to hear from the doctors.so far it doesn't look good. I'm very concerned. Don't have much details yet... something about ammo and a battery... I'll keep everyone posted as more news comes in.

Let me guess, he had one of each in his pocket...
Yes he did... it's very upsetting. Just hoping he'll pull through.
...just remember...

I'm not sure yet I'll have to ask when I'm allowed in the roomDid he try loading ammo into his eCig or a battery into his gun?
Spotted this in my Facebook feed so naturally had to have a look, looks like a Smok xcube 2 and a velocity RDA with an LG battery.
Thoughts folks?

I think there is a lot of vaping vets on this forum who are well aware of the dangers of batteries and because the dangers are now obvious to them they expect it to be obvious to others and forgetting about a time when it wasn't so obvious to them either. Most new vapers have no past experience with understanding the concept of batteries. They have neither worked in a field of work or had enough time to dive deep enough into vaping to have learned about the dangers of batteries. Most of us have used batteries all of our lives..we go to the store buy them use them and dispose of them and never had a issue...that is about the extent of many peoples experience with batteries.
Until inserts and labeling are provided with the battery warning of the dangers how is a typical person to know? I never knew of the dangers of batteries until i read this forum and i have used batteries all my life. Given labeling/inserts are not being provided, is it no wonder these accidents always happen especially to new or fairly new vapers. It's nice that some of you have had the opportunities to be more informed about batteries before you were harmed, but before that you were just as blindsided and it could have just as easily happened to you. I have never had a reason to assume there were dangers in using batteries given they are so commonly used everyday without issue.
I think you guys are always way too hard on these fairly new vapers and expecting them to be knowledgeable about a danger they never had to worry about before in their daily use of batteries prior to vaping.
