I search google for ecig news almost daily and read a lot of it. I think I made this observation earlier in the thread, Virtually all the accidents involving mods being carried or used have two things in common, the mods are mechanical and the victims are young men. Doesn't the rest speak for itself? I think it won't be long before the only place you can buy mechs will be from offshore suppliers and private sellers.

Logic Disposable versus Logic Rechargeable.

Anyone have a definitive answer to if the disposable can be charged? I lent my GF one of my (Chargeable) batteries which she subsequently lost and she replaced it with a logic disposable without realizing it. I am currently draining the battery and will attempt charging it but I am curious if I will be able to, is it dangerous (Another explosion due to me screwing around? Not following manufacturers instructions:vapor:) or is it a candidate for the recycle bin. It looks and measures the same. On the Web there are many who claim it is the same battery and it is able to be charged.

But you know everything you read on the Web is supposed to be true!:danger: :vapor:

It won't recharge but if you try it might overheat and do something unpleasant.

Thanks for the quick response!

Logic should put some kind of distinguishing markings on the different batteries and not allowing for accidentally trying to charge a battery not intended to be recharged or a non removable cartridge on these disposables. She bought them thinking it was the same as we have.

Side note when trying to charge a partially depleted battery the LED goes Amber

The story reported in the OP doesn't involve a mech. He was using a regulated box mod.

The cause of the incident was because he was carrying spare batteries loose in his pocket.

I'm aware of that one too. It's hard to fault ecigs for that. Instead of regulating ecigs may be the FDA should regulate young males.

How about a regulation that says, if you are male below the age of 26, you can't vap more than 14 watts. Correction, 7 watts.

He is holding his SMOK box with his Velocity topper in his right hand and the blown battery in his left hand.

He should have just been photographed with the blown battery. The Mod and topper had nothing to do with the incident.

Why do you suppose he posed like that for the picture for the article?

I think that stupid people need to be placed on an Endangered Species List. We could instead of placing warning labels on any and everything, Tatoo the word Stupid on their forehead. This would alert all in close proximity of them to be aware that an act of stupidity could occur at any moment. This could reduce the reaction time required to protect them and keep their 'species' from becoming extinct. After all without the stupid people where would Politicians come from.;)

Errr....

Technically they're already on the endangered species list.

And a few other lists that guarantee them employment, health care, shelter, food................................
