And really dude, all I was originally stating was instead of keeping a regulated device around why not just regulate a nice mech instead. And if it breaks no big deal.

Millions around the world run kayfuns on 10 watt mods just fine, hell look how many are sitting on provari's and zmax's in the picture threads, but they suddenly dont work anymore.

Last VV mod I owned was a Vamo ... about 2 years ago. Lent it off and eventually just said 'no need to give it back'.

Been pondering getting a DNA or such... but all I really want is to get my vape on and move on. Something mechs do excellently well. I don't need a display telling me I'm about to get an excellent vape if I press the button. I already know.

Currently got 3 Nanos' and a Dominus Fecit in rotation. Got several others, but those are mostly collecting dust.

My regulated devices are basically collecting dust , it's infinitely more satisfying to me to vape on a combo I fine tuned myself from the switch to the build in the topper . I've spent enjoyable hours polishing the switch components on my mechs and they're all butter smooth , regulated devices just don't offer that kind of tactile feel . I liken it to holding a fine , perfectly broken in pipe in your hands vs a cigarette .

The size of 18650 mech mods is what drew me in. Logically because of voltage drop and such a regulated high wattage box mod should be able to provide a more consistent and better vape by pushing the exact wattage you want into your coil no matter the resistance HOWEVER I dont know if its in my head or because it feels better in my hand that again its in my head that it vapes better but I get a much better vape from a mech then a box with the same resistance and wattage. ONLY thing that I love and think is better is regulated devices with temp control. I guess the ability to have any wattage no matter the coil is cool to but I dont really fancy change and when I find something I like I use it a lot. I love a dual parallel build in my dripper I dont do anything else really. I just checked and the three I have in front of me are reading at .15, .19 and .3. I just love mech mods and wish I got into em sooo much sooner. You cant get a better looking mod either IMO. Mech mods are down right gorgeous. If you pair the right atty and the finishes are working they can be close to pieces of art IMO. I have mine lined up on a shelf and they look sooo sick.

I used mechs pretty much exclusively for a long time. However, after I got my first DNA device (clone though) I've bought several more regulated devices and rarely touch my mechs anymore. Regulated mods are simply so much more convenient, and forgiving when it comes to coil builds.

Most regulated devices are .... fugly though IMO , they lack the feel of a mech .

The zna is quite nice in my opinion, but I agree that it doesn't come close to many mechs in the looks department. Most box mods are indeed ugly, particularly the Hana, which is also quite uncomfortable. On the other hand, basic mechs such as the Nemesis aren't that interesting looking, though they can be quite pretty when paired with the right atty.
