I reasoned this was going to be the route I go too re silica. And not a ton of it either. Yes I believe I'm on the right track. Sometimes people tell me about a vender or two, or three with good e juice and I'm tempted but the price is just too much for me to go back to experimenting with premades.
Once I switched all of my delivery devices over to silica base designed rebuildables, I have not had a bad vaping day. Then I started making my own juices, which enhanced my vaping journey even more.

I just found this YouTube video and at 11:09 he absolutely NAILS how I feel sometimes:

A Smokenjoey Review - Joyetech eRoll Review & Vapor Test- how does it compare? - YouTube

By the way, as today is a new day, I loaded up an AGR tank (Good Life Vapor Deadly Sin), threw it on my Lavatube v2, and it's working perfectly. BUT I know I'll have another bad day sooner or later.

So right after I post this I'm ordering an eRoll kit, tanks, atties, and some syringes from Good Prophets. I'm sure they're also sweet for walking around, going out for dinner, etc. I'm happy with this thread, so keep it rolling if you want to chime in. Thanks!

P.S. to SpinDr480 specifically: Oh god, I hear you. I will admit with no shame that over the years I've tried multiple vendors' batteries, a hundred kinds of juice, given up, thrown gear in the trash, bought analog cigarettes multiple times, etc. The key is that different products work for different people, so if you want to stay off the cigs there's nothing wrong with continuing the search. Pros and cons of the easy access of internet consumerism, I guess.

Jesus, this reply is long.

I'm not a veteran really but I am having one of those days today. My tank is leaky. Nothing tastes good. I switched tanks and that helped for about an hour. Now I'm getting burnt hits. I think my head needs changed but I don't feel like getting my fingers all juicy. UGGHH! Okay. I think I'm just gonna bust out the cig-a-like (if it's charged, I don't remember). Wish me luck.

Honestly, I don't mean to be a douche but...
If you learn to drip, you can avoid these kinds of things.

I seriously have not had a bad vaping day since I started dripping four years ago.
It always works, and I'm always a happy vaper.
:)

Being a dripper doesn't have to be a full-time thing if you don't want it to be.
But dripping can avoid all of those issues if you don't feel like dealing with those issues on any given day.

I second this excellent advice.

I know how to drip successfully, I just don't personally like doing it because it's too hands-on. I like being able to pick up a PV at any moment and vape for a bit. But I certainly don't think that was a douchey thing to say. Like I said, different products (and methods) work for different people. Everyone has their favorites, otherwise the world would be boring.

I get really discourage with flavors. I'll find a couple that I like and then a couple weeks later either I won't taste anything or they taste burnt and I end up hating them. But I have found from AIV that I really like.
I get discouraged and a couple days later ill DIY some nice light fruit flavor and I'll get right back in.
I wish it was like cigs where you didn't care about the flavor and could smoke/vape it for 10 years with out caring.

I'm kind of paranoid that way too, although I don't lug that many alternate set-ups around. But even if I'm just going to the corner store, I'll still pack an extra battery, 5mls of e-liquid, a car charger, usb charger, and an extra clearo with an extra head in my eGo case. I always think, Well, what if I get held up in a fender-bender, or I break down? :p

LOL! I can relate! The other day I had to dash to the corner store (literally 3 minutes from my house) and had a moment of panic when I realized I left my ecig at home. I survived, but probably would have had a total meltdown if the trip had taken more than 10 minutes

I've been using flavorless since I started, sometimes with a little flavor added, usually not. There are several here that do. Zero headaches and crazy cheap.

Haha, that reminds me of the days of smaller capacity MP3 players (like 128-256 MB). I'd spend an hour choosing, organizing and uploading just the right albums that I wanted to hear for the day before I hit the train station. Most days I wouldn't even listen to half of what I picked. (And just think, now I can have like 30 gigs of music on my TELEPHONE. Such delicious overkill.)

Yes! At lest a few times a month everything starts leaking, or not working, or tasting funny. And I look at my 2 year old pack of smokes and think how easy it would be to grab my lighter and take a few puffs. And that's why when people say "I'm a non smoker now" I think wow, I wish I felt that. Because honestly, I will always be a smoker. Sure, I don't smoke but I sure as heck want to. Thats just me though.

Eroll, yes get one. But it's only 90mah you say. Well surprise, it's actually 1000mah because of the classy looking pcc and it vapes like a champ. Way better then a 510 imho. You can hold it like a real cigarette between your fingers or hanging out of your mouth. You smoke it like a real cigarette, 5 minutes then done. It charges fast in the pcc and comes with 2 batteries so you can come pretty close to chain vaping with it. I know because I've done it. If you buy one, get an extra cone if your supplier does not give you 2 in your kit. You will want the 2 complete set ups for ease of use in charging and what not. You put it in the pcc with the tank still attached. so easy and fast. Also, when I crave a real cigarette, I toss the vamo aside and reach for the eroll. It's very satisfying with higher nicotine juice as others have stated.

Edit, I just caught that you bought one from Good Prophets. That is good because he supplies the extra cone I was talking about. Oh and the leather cases he has are sweet! I got mine there and got the leather case which is so sweet! Went all black but next time am going for the white. ;) happy vaping did you catch that it's sweet? lol

Alrighty, so after the 2+ years I've been vaping, I still to this day randomly have those really discouraging days with juice and hardware. I'm talking about the kinds of days that give me those fleeting thoughts like "I should just get a cigalike" or "I should just use Nicorette."

Well you guessed it, I had one of those days today. After getting a bunch of new juices and tanks in the mail, I had a week straight of totally perfect vaping. Then today I got dry hits or leaks with 3 different juices and 3 different cartos, with and without a tank. Sweet juice, sour juice, Smoktech, Boge, single or double punched in 2 different brands of tanks, or just without a tank... it all worked horribly. So I just unscrewed everything, gave it all a rinse with hot water, and packed it in for the night. haha, damn it.

So I was just wondering if other folks who aren't new to this anymore still sometimes have "one of those days."

P.S. Kind of related: to any eRoll owners out there, would that be a good purchase to make for something to use when I get frustrated with the carto fuss? (I dislike dripping and clearos so they're out.) I'm intrigued by the eRoll... it's just a shame I have a Vamo (my third VV) and 25 Boge LR cartos on the way in the mail. :2cool:
I noticed none of your alternative options were "F, I should buy a pack of cigs". I guess we all have those days, but it honestly isn't so bad when you stop to realize you'd rather buy a Blu disposable than light up a cig again...

I usually don't have to many issues with my vape gear it might be because I have so much of it I have a lot of options if i don't feel like rebuilding a coil on a genesis I pop on a protank if I'm sick of refilling a the protank I build a coil for a ERA and put it on a VV Reo or my Boggers DNA20 or just rap a coil on a RDA and drip for a while so many choices it's hard to get bored. I do sometime get tired of the 5 flavors I vape on a daily basis but I just dig around in the DIY pantry and make a new juice. Sorry your having a bad vape day

It's funny you say that, because I did exactly that one night. I was having one of those bad cartomizer days (the days when you mysteriously have to top off the polyfill CONSTANTLY for no reason), and I was going out with a friend that night so I just said "F it all, I'm not bringing my ecig or Nicorette, screw the world." But sure enough, after I had a beer with dinner, I was dying to vape. Kicking myself, I went into a gas station and bought... a Blu disposable. How bad could it be? Well after puffing on it for less than 5 minutes I threw it out, and when I got home I started vaping the same old dry tight cartomizer, oddly satisfied.

P.S. I do crack and have the odd cigarette every once in a while still, but I'm talking a couple a month, versus the pack a day I used to smoke. :p

Just don't ever beat yourself up about it. Think about how many cigarettes you're not smoking now. The glass is half full instead of half empty, and all that. :2cool:

NOTHING frustrates me more than a leaking clearomizer. I have tried damn near all of them in this past month (at least the popular ones) and have decided to stick to the iClear 30 and ProTanks. They have been by far my "least troublesome" rigs.

That's good to hear because I just ordered a Protank this week. My idea of the "perfect" device (well, we all know that doesn't exist) would be like my AGR carto tanks, except without the fuss of punching and priming cartos. On paper, the Protank sounds like it fits that description so I'm hopeful. I tried some Mini Vivi Novas before but #1, they were knock-offs and #2, I chain vape a lot so top coils have always sucked for me.
