Just a word of caution about using certain words to describe the Tesla.
What really makes me laugh is that all the Vamo owners, think it's so good and nothing else exist in the world.
They all gripe about having the buttons above the screen. So my question is............... Once you find your settings how often do you really have to look at the screen. The Tesla locks the settings. No worries. Hummmmmmmmmmmm does the vamo lock the settings or do you have to look at the screen every time you take a vape?
Sorry just had to throw that in.
I really get tired of this is better than that.

I agree... While a certain mod that begins with a "P" may be very well made and have a very good warranty, not everybody wants one. I don't like the looks, nor do I want a one button menu system. I do read as many reviews that I can find before I commit to a purchase, but I tend to discount any "fanboy" chatter. Everyone has unique vaping needs, and there's plenty of ways you can provide advice "in my experience" and back it up with solid knowledge without denigrating someone else's choices.

I bought a Tesla for my wife. I also like the looks of it, however, there are a couple things that bother me about it. The display on the one we got sits crooked in the "window." It works fine, but it made it feel cheap to me. When you unscrew the bottom cap to replace the battery it makes a sound like nails on a chalkboard. She also hated the fact that the battery is visible thru that side window and she spraypainted her battery black. So basically, we had no technical problems with it. It works fine. Mayhaps we just got a defective one.

My bottom cap is smooth as silk, but some Noalox on the threads will clear up that screech:

The display on mine looks like it's tilted a bit, like the top of the display is set a little deeper back than the bottom... not sure if this is what you're talking about, or if it's not level from one side to the other.

The squeaking is from the finish on the threads. If you use some noalox on the threads, or a small amount of Vaseline the squeaking will stop. You're the first person that's said their screen was crooked. I've never heard that before. Can you post a pic? Also I wouldn't recommend spray painting the battery. These batteries get warm in the charger and damage could result in any number of ways.

Actually like the look of the Tesla, and the button placement doesn't bother me since I don't change settings very often. The only thing that kept me from ordering one was the long slots, wasn't really crazy about the battery showing through. Nice to know that the Tesla is working well for those that did get it.

I happen to own 3 of the ones that began with P. For the quality and smoothness I'll take em over everything. But this thread was about the Tesla's. so my answers to the OP were referring to it. (I hope).

iVape just announced the release of the jet black and is discontinuing the black chrome... the buttons are still in the same place.

You may be thinking of the Kamry K200, which some people are calling the "Tesla Clone". Why you would need four buttons plus a fire button is beyond me. What's next? Maybe a joystick or a 10 key numeric pad? ;)

I find i got used to the buttons being above the screen quickly... it didnt bother me much at all... So i agree with you that often times people will subconciously discount or discredit something merely because it is different than the "main" trend, style, or fashion. Yet, sometimes these changes can be revolutionary and refreshing...
