1.6 here - I've discovered to loosen the draw more than I'd usually prefer. I'm MTL. if i tighten it to as tight of a draw as I want, the coil over saturates and doesn't produce the vapor as well.

So I have a loose draw and kinda restrict my air flow with my own lips on the drip tip if that makes any sense. It wicks very well without much vacuum.

I start out a coil closer to 10 watts and increase over a couple tanks to around 11 or 11.2. The coil hits it's stride after about 1/2 tank and then back comes ideal by like the 3rd tank. It's a nice bell curve though - right? :)

So Zen, I know you said you don't pay attention to the particulars but if u did what would u say generally u Vape the kabuki at? Watts etc. hard drag vs light drag, air control tight loose or do u maybe completely remove it? I've been having a hard time w it the last few days (taste and atomizer life havent been quite right and im getting discouraged) and would appreciate yours and anyone else's input on how they Vape the kabuki. I will be out for the evening so I won't be able to respond til late but really want this to work for me. Thanks all!!!

Don't remove the airflow screw, it can have disastrous effects on the wicking and the flavor.

I generally vape mouth to lung, between 11 and 12 watts, I raise or lower it for satisfaction, not some wattage goal, and I enjoy it, and I swear I wasn't trying to insult Hooligan, I was wishing he would get out of his head and into his senses for greater enjoyment. It appears as though that was taken as being incendiary, for whatever reason.

Look everybody... Enjoy yourselves, take in the pleasure of vaping without all the math and science. It should be a sensual experience and not an intellectual pursuit.

Is thinking that so wrong?

Sitting in my car vaping and waiting on a friend, I've read almost every post and didn't think u insulted anyone. I'm trying to find pleasure without over thinking. I've been through so many latest and greatest that I just want something to work and need everyone's help! I'll give it time although if the Vape don't work I smoke and I don't want to really want to die. Here's my people keep telling me what u guys do and I'll try it. Thanks all! Have a great evening!

We're here for you Andy.. Whatever it takes, this group here is like the Anti-Smoking hit men. We;ll get ya off the smokes and keep you off them, and that is the goal... and while you're at it, enjoy the pleasure that vaping will bring into your life.

Math and Science didn't make you smoke, and it's not going to help you quit. A pleasurable replacement is the answer.

Yes, the bottom of the coil directly contacts the P3 positive pin…there's no intermediate parts like the 510 or z2

yes....thanks.... but i meant is there any noticeable difference in the result (better vape ? more power? anything different ?)

Well on the plus side the onyx radii and second kabuki arrived and it's perfection. I think that for both in the house and travel i can get down to
P3 with p3 kabuki (repeated for #345th time white to black fade p3 is super classy)
Onyx with p3 kabuki ... Classic and elegant look
Cabarnet radi with vector dripper... It looks good and rda with boost, ++++++!)

(I like switching between flavours a lot still what can i say)

Delighted to hear of the p3 to 510 adapter. I think my 2.5s will go into storage with the other hexes. I can always grab an adapter or 2 and not ever worry about being p3 modless. :D

I'm using a 1.6 coil at 13.6W. Airflow about two full turns. 3-4 second draws.

That's around where I have my power settings. Which is way past spec on the coil. How much do you get out of the coils regarding ml before you feel it must be changed?

I've lowered it to spec but it's just too anemic of a vape for my tastes. Not worth getting another 10 ml or so out of it at that cost. Wondering if perhaps the juice i am vaping just allows for noticing it more or if everyone is getting similar life from the coils.

I can load up a super loud juice flavor or similar in a semi useful Coil And it tastes ok but not for more sensitive / delicate/layered taste

So as a group question how many ml are you typically vaping per coil before changing and at what power settings?

... The downside i didn't realize that my Aiv juice really just can't be left in darkish 70/72 degree plastic box like everything else. Got a fair few bottles and after 2 months it just ain't good. I think for them, get it fresh or put in the fridge... But i probably wouldn't get that much again. I do love their flavours, packaging and their service is fantastic - don't want to appear this to be a slight.

Just my 2 60mls of twas brillig and zombie apocalypse have been snatched away :(

I know some folks would call this irresponsible or what have you, but i try and give myself a pass on this kinda thing. There has been a definite amount of 'wasted mo ey' in learning the hard way or getting devices early on that i don't like now or outgrew... BUT a carton is 70 bucks and i was on about 4 a month and vaping is way better to me. So, yeah, i'm trying to not be annoyed at myself and just think well its just a couple of months of amokimg that you won't be doing now. (Talking total since april.. Subtanks that are too harsh for me now, grossly marked up isticks at b&m before i found ecf, juice that i didn't like, this aiv ruination)

Anyways sorry not very kabuki related ramble there lol

Ok everyone just wanted to let you all know that Keith from Creme de Vape's simple suggestion has WORKED :) :)!!!!!

Yeah ,it'll be a bit of a pain to have to pull the ends of my coils out a bit each time i go to change them but...the main thing is

.... my Kabuki is NOW WORKing again !!!! YAYY!!!! :) :) :)

Anyone know what I may have done that caused this so that It doesnt happen again with the brand new Kabuki 510 Im expecting tomorow/day after ?

Thanks so much to Zen for giving his time (I know, from reading this thread that he doesnt have much these days ;) & trying to help me with my little prob

Now I can go back to the pleasanter task of choosing which Provari I will buy next...yes, I so love the kabuki+ p3 combo that i'd decided to replace all my 4-5 current setups (i always keep 4-5 flavors going at the same time. )

Thanks again Everyone!

:) :) :)

Which coils are you using?
