Yes, the tube that is attached to the top of the coil can collect debris.

I have over a dozen Kabukis. I rinse them in warm water with ever coil change, which is more often than I'd like because I do use juices that tend to gunk them up. I have a small brush that was made for drip tips. I bought a set long ago off eBay. I run it down the chimney a few times and through the hole where the coil sits. I also stick a pipe cleaner through the air hole. I've notice no reduction in airflow. The airflow screw on all of mine are flush with the edge of the tank. They say you cannot, but you can remove the airflow screw and the tanks work fine.
You can run the stainless version through an ultrasonic cleaner with no ill effects. Not so with the Stealth version. I'm not sure about the Zenkote model. I think the Ti model would work OK in the ultrasonic.
Brush, Pipe Cleaner, or Q-Tip...what would u suggest then ? would a few rounds in the ultrasonic cleaner do it ? or letting it soak in alcohol overnight ?
thanks... that's very useful advice
Ive never seen those cleaning brushes kits for drips tips but will keep on the lookout for something that could work.
My Kabukis are all either the zenkote or the regular version , ill try putting one or two regulars thru the ultrasonic cleaner and see if there's any improvement
How long do you guys put it thru the ultrasonic cleaner for ?
Can I be added to the List Too!!!K.D. Yes I ignored you. When you started off by telling me "Who you would NOT" watch, I figured, fine. I dont' have the time to try and help, while someone is telling me what they Won't do. Why you won't is none of my business. Nor do I care why. It's your business, and you have google just like everyone else.
You have spent far too much time dissing me in the past, and now you want my help, and before I can do so, you are already telling me what you will not do. So to please yourself, educate yourself. You can decide for yourself if the search or education is worth your while.
I don't feel like being put down if I should by chance link you to someone, or something that you are not happy happy with or about.

The rebuilding vids I was referring to, were for the standard Nauti and Mini Triton Coils. There are also videos on the Rebuildable Decks as well. Not thrilled with any of the videos. But they did give me a reference point for starting. Then adapting the techniques for personal use.
As far as ignoring people here, I don't live on the forum. There is a life out there. And you have to admit, this thread is just about dead, in regards ot any type of useful info for quite some time now. The only time I see any real activity, it is either to put some member in their place, or completely off topic. YMMV
