I've complained inside of some threads but haven't written the question outright.

I've made two orders to mt baker over the last few months each time I ordered 4 or 5 different juices to give them a try- I know what I like but what I like it fairly pricey so I've been looking for some juices that comparable flavor wise but less expensive to use intermittently and break down the cost a little.
I understand the whole concept of you get what you pay for; then again that's not always the case.
I have one bottle that's been steeping for two and a half months now and still smells and tastes like Lysol when it's vaped just put a drop on the coil to see how it is. Ran out of my good stuff again and broke out the mt baker from the steep Bol and put a flavor in they want half bat when it arrives 2 weeks ago and still it's not bad flavor wise and it's vapeable but it has the overtone of febreeze on the inhale.
Total opposite side of the spectrum from the others.
Anyone else experiencing this?
Anyone know why?
Anyone know of a GOOD juice vendor with comparable pricing?
I'm not looking for a suicide bunny or 5pawn clone but something that doesn't taste like i just licked John Wayne's .... at close to or at my bakers price point.
Thanks y'alls

Any flavor shots and what nic level? I've heard this described from too much flavor and I've seen it in some of their juices before steeping however I only do one shot at most on things since I'm fairly new. Might not hurt to try diluting it some and see if it's better. Vanilla tobacco was very flowery however it straightened out after a few weeks. Vanilla itself wasn't but out of the 20 or so flavors from mt baker I've tried that's what I've found. And I don't much care for tobacco flavors(though I've tried all of them from mbv) and I'm digging the fruit flavors from them like peach and Green apple allot.

Yeah I get the pay what you get for thing I even put that in my OP.
Just looking to see if anyone else tastes Lysol and febreeZe in it.
Just rewicked my kfl and put there moo juice in it and it has a chemical taste in there after over 2 weeks of steep time- not a bad juice but trying to figure out what that taste is. Spent 23 years as a chef so I have a good pallet which sucks when you're trying to keep a hobby like this on a budget. Can't afford dollar a mil juice all day every day.
Oh well that's my problem

It's 12 mg and no extra shots my first order from them i added shots and thought that May have been the problem but these are straight stock with their standard pg/vg mix. 2 week steep
And they are all fruit flavors. Got a tobacco last time (ry4) and that one is still here and that's the one that tastes like John Wayne ate a bad burrito.

Just trying to figure out what this funny taste is.
Using natural cotton so I know it can't be silica or bad wicking

I don't know if perfumey is the exact term that I'd use, but I did buy a 30ml bottle of their Coffee blend (24mg, 50/50, extra flavor shot). After the first topoff, there is a slightly weird, hard to describe, taste. I would describe it as slightly burnt, though it's fairly clear in color for a coffee blend. Some reviewers has stated that it eats up coils, I haven't experienced that yet, however it does now require more effort to draw, even with a fully charged battery.

Vapor Beast has comparable pricing, plus free shipping. I live on the East Coast & my order arrived inside of 48 hours from California. There was a second order, of a KangerTech tank, that would have arrived in the same, had it not been for Sunday on the calendar. Ordered that on Friday & received on Monday. I'll likely use them again due to the fast service & free ship, as well as quality products, e-juice & tanks.

Vapor Beast's juices are typically 70/30 PG/VG & they have a wide selection.

some have the perfume scent, I leave them sit open 12-24hrs it goes away
others just won't

some are weak - I just move on

some I just flat out don't like - next flavor

some work great for me, I get plenty of it and at a good price

that is just how I play the game with MBV, win some, lose some
hope to come out ahead in the end...

their price and selection enables you to at least find a few you'll like, don't give up

I've since moved to DIY, but still buy my 'flavors' from MBV
due to great CS, price, shipping...

:)

I get the febreeze flavor. I use 0mg and it always tastes stale to me. I know it's hard to explain that their base just tastes stale compared to other vendors. I have moved onto ECBlends. I don't taste perfume or staleness in their liquids and I have tried just over 20 of them and have 9 more flavors coming. I have tried their rose, honey suckle, honey, jasmine and none are perfume like but are true to their floral flavoring. With EC the reviews are your friends, if most people get sweetener so do I. Keep in mind though they are quite inexpensive and most likely are not going to meet the standards of a 27$ a bottle liquid.

Not expecting it to carry the flavor
Profile of 5pawns or suicide bunny or some of the other other "premiums" I know they get that flavor by using a better blend of flavorings and probably steep them a bit before sending them out or maybe steep steep the base and add nic on order perhaps. But MBVs chemical toilet taste has gotta be some other either shortcut or something else going on, even some "DIYs" or other less expensive juices don't have it; gotta be the case.
Think I'll try EC and lucky7 next or maybe even order from fasttech dekang- hope it doesn't give me the tuberculosis- lol

Hi Tony! Should you ever get the urge to put your culinary background to use again and give DIY a try (and I really think you might!), avoid the flavorings from a company called Flavor West as those are the flavors Mt Baker supposedly uses in their juices.

I am not bashing these companies' products in any way. They have an enormous following, but everything is not for everyone and as always, taste is subjective! ;) I am just trying to help you avoid flavorings that might not be agreeable to you.

Thank you!!!! I've considered it several times over and it can't be difficult. Considering my chef's background. Hell it's probably easy as all get out. Just don't have a place to work on it right now otherwise I would have started a while back. I know some cats that do it for a local b&m, just don't know them well enough to get a deal and they charge 22 dollars/30 ml, not bad juice at all in fact it's pretty good stuff, I'm just trying to scale down the cost where during the day I'm vaping some inexpensive juice then at night when in relaxing I can break out my more expensive "premium" stuff

I'm not sure ordering from Fasstech would be a step in the right direction.

Probably but if I'm gonna vape garbage I might as well pay as little as possible for it- lol
I got spoiled early on and was only vaping "higher end" juices before I switched to vaping exclusively ; for a while I was vaping and smoking and it was easier to buy 30 mil of juice when it was lasting me an entire weak, now 30 mild only last 2 or 3 days. So juice cost has doubled.

But hell I bought a few bottles of cosmic fog the other day 15 bucks for 15 mil- ouch that hurt
A bottle of grand reserve 5pawn- 37 for 30 mil- that was an expensive day to be a vapor and I don't know many people that can make that sort of stuff an all day vape affair

Well I've got an order in with lucky7 to try I suspect it will be similar to mbv in taste but we'll see. I'm looking for cheaper overall if possible but still enjoyable.

Mbv's coffee has been really hard on coils for me 2 days and I'm dry burning and cleaning where most stuff I get much longer cycles. It could be equipment though we'll see in a few days when my kayfun gets here.

I'd give lucky 7 a try it's got a cheap sampler option they aren't speedy but great pricing worth a role of the dice.

Cool- yeah I my last MBV order had hazelnut coffee on it- I was getting half a tank per coil- yeah halfway through the tank I would have to change the coil- ridiculous if you ask me and I don't think it was coffee I think it was SANKAA

Yeah its been really tough for me it's my morning vape I've got it in 18mg and 36mg for those tough mornings so I don't go through much of it but man am I tired of fighting with coils because of it. We'll see with the kayfun but I suspect it will be the same and if so it will stay in a crappy tank I don't use much since most of the time I'm a sweet flavor guy now.

That juice is the one that forced me to leave the world of aero tanks and pro tanks and rebuilt coils and enter the world of RBAs. I still use a few of the smaller prebuilts for crap juice or juice that I just wanna try.
Keep in mind the kfls have a 4.5 mil tank and coffees and dark juices will gunk the coils quick but all you have to do is change the wick and dry burn to clean the coil-rewick and ready to go. You're not tossing a 2 dollar head each tank. With that one coffee since it funks quicker that others for some reason I only fill the kfl half way do I'm not emptying the tank to dry burn the coil.
It's MBVs way of making sure you pay for misery- haha

I've used a lot of MBV juices (all either 65/45 with no flavor shots or 50/50 with one at most) and while with some I get a bit of the perfume taste you're talking about straight out of the mail, a night with the cap off takes care of it for me. The flavoring they use may just not work for your palate. That's the whole subjective thing for ya! Have you looked into other low cost vendors to see if they use a different line of flavorings?
